2° Industrial Revolution

The second industrial Revolution began in 1870, and it took place in Germany, France, Italy, United
States and Japan.

This revolution is characterized by the iron replacement to steel in the industry, the steam to
electricity, the grown of automatic machines and changes in the ways of communication and
transport.

It started because de accumulation of money in the colonizers, because the capitalism, because
the Agricultural revolution, and because the needed of other countries to produce faster and more
efficiently.

It brought as an effect that people had to work long hours for low pay, terrible pollution, slums,
child labor, people being hurt or killed at work, but also brought new technologies to make easier
the production such as steel, chemicals, electricity, and new methods of production.

Also, as an impact of the spread the population grew, the cities grew, there were many changes in
science and religion and a new social order.
