*The updates on the Progress in our Congress.*

*On the first* day we had a nice day where we received the message from our president Margaret.

✓ We also discussed the theme of Behind the Mask. Our president was Soo happy about this theme

✓ We also asked ourselves why Congress was brought in Tanzania. Why that venue.

✓ there was introducing different countries which are taking in the congress. We have 16 countries.

✓ We had a meditation on how to live behind the mask which was anchored on seven key points.

✓ We have only four seminarians in this congress and all are from Kenya. We are getting different
responsibilities such us leding in opening prayers during sessions, serving during mass etc

✓ We have 198 members taking part in the congress.

We are different groups thus this is enabling us to learn alot from Gen 2

We are enjoying the diversity of our cultures and nationality.

Finally there is a great difference between Francophone countries and Agrophone countries not only in
language but also times of emphasis on Academia etc.

" Different languages gave us an opportunity for the emergency of a new language of love"

*Sharing about day two*

The noble invitation to all Gens from the president of the movement especially during this congress: the
interior life of prayers and holiness.

She uses a metaphor of a tree. The growth of the tree in the forest doesn't make noise but rather it
grows continuously and silently.

We should also grow interiority and holiness in silence. This will enable us to make a radical revolution
of love.

As the forest needs to be protected we should also protect our tree of holiness and interior life.

One tree cannot be called a forest but many trees of different species and sizes make the forest. The
diversity of these trees makes the forest beautiful. Equally our diversity in spiritual growth makes the
kingdom of God present in our midst.

NB: as trees supplies fresh air to us and makes us enjoy nice air equally we are supposed to give our
world fresh air of holiness and interior life of prayers thus living a radical revolution of love.

We also talked about the identity of a gen. This identity is informed by the theme of the congress. We
went further to ask ourselves how is gen supposed to live in a globalized world?

We also talked about the Culture behind the mask.

Finally we concluded the day by talking about the issue of sexuality.

*Sharing of 25th December 2022*

We started this day with a vigil Mass of Christmas at St. Anthony Padua Chapel.

We enjoyed a wonderful choir of little daughters of St. Francis who animated Mass in Swahili.

We experienced Christ Forsaken since the main celebrant used Swahili all through forgetting our
brothers and sisters who didn't understand Swahili. To our surprise they followed mass actively and with
a lot of love.

After mass we sung few Christmas songs.

Yesterday we attended Mass at St. Peter's Cathedral at Dar. The Mass was celebrated by a visiting priest
Fr. Thomas from USA who. Works in Rome in one of the decastary(co unum). We enjoyed his simple
homily and his parting shot message of " Christmas not about what we can do for God but is all about
what He can do to us. He took our humanity to save us from our mess." The cathedral is a magnificent
one.

During our journey from one place to another people were so welcoming to people of other nationality.

After mass we proceed to the beach.

It was a wonderful moment of enjoying the gift of the mother number.

The unique and touching experience that happened is to see Gens holding hands to save another young
person who was not of our group who was drowning after heavy and violent sea tide. They managed to
save her.

After coming back; after having our supper different zone presented their Christmas songs.
The most touching thing was to see people who were extremely tired being ready to shorten their
presentation to allow all groups to present in order for people to go and rest. All people were patient
with each other enjoying the moment.

Sharing on 26th Dec 2022

We talked about the paradise 49 of chiara life which was a mystical experience.

-If we keep Jesus present among us,loving one another,we will discover new path to take so as to make
an impact on the world around us.

-we should open our inner eyes to see the outside of the new world with love so that we become saints.
We learnt about ubuntu:

The touching point about Ubuntu is that I am because we are.

It emphasises that to go beyond African culture and have a culture of love. They are challenges facing
Ubuntu that is -

-lack of models in the society, -individualism,

-decline commitment to promote common Good,

-alienation of the culture which has good values,

-education system brought by colonialist.

-Ubuntu is there, can prosper and we should pass it from one generation to another.

Also we talked about the legacy of Chiara that is be a family.

-She said that when she dies she will leave the movt in the presence of Jesus in the midst between 2
people hence encouraging community life.

-Jesus Forsaken is her testament nothing else.

-Let us bring unity since it is the basis of all things.

-He gave an biblical image of house built on a rock in which the rock is the Word of God in which unity is
the charism which God gave to us.

We need to

-maintain- remain faithful, -develop-use our social networks to spread love and unity,

-deepen- be present in all works of life, revolution of love.

Finally Chiara is a gift of God to the whole world and to the church. She gave us the new lenses of
love,communion hence see greater world. She also gave us the gift of economic of communion

-We have to feel with the people as Pope Francis says smell like a sheep

as future priests.
