The Menara Kudus Mosque or Al-Aqsha Mosque, located in Kudus in the Indonesian province of Central Java
The Menara Kudus building can be divided into three parts: the leg or foot, body, and head. Overall, the building's shape
from all three sides: east, south, and north, looks the same. On the west side of the building, there is a stair to the
minaret room. The top of the minaret is a wooden building with a tajug roof [Figure 10 and Figure 11]. The base part of the
foot of the minaret (Sub Basement) has a square plan with a size of 10.5 x 10.5 m2, height 1.25 m. The plan becomes smaller
from the Sub Basement to the top of the foot, with 9.5 x 9.5 m2. The height of the foot is approximately 4.50 m. There is a
vertical hole (1.5 x 1.5 m2) in the building center to reach the minaret's top from a height of 7-12 meters [Figure 12]. In this
hole, there is a wooden ladder. The minaret's head is a wooden building with a height of 2.5 m; the top is a two-slayer
tajug roof with a 2.5 m height. At the top is the crown (memolo), with a height of approximately 1 m. Overall the Menara Kudus
build-ing has a height of approximately 18 m.

15TH CENTURY MOSQUE


Sultan Suriansyah Mosque is located in the village of Kuin Utara, in Banjarmasin
The roof is layered, showing Banjar's pre-Islamic architecture. Unique to old mosques of Banjar, the mihrab has its own roof,
separated from the main building.

19TH CENTURY

Baiturrahman Grand Mosque located in the center of Banda Aceh city, Aceh Province, Indonesia. The mosque was originally
designed by the Dutch architect Gerrit Bruins. The design was subsequently adapted by L.P. Luijks, who also supervised the
construction work done by contractor Lie A Sie. At first, the mosque featured only one dome and one minaret. More domes and
minarets were added in 1935, 1958 and 1982. Today, the mosque has seven domes and eight minarets, including the highest in
Banda Aceh

Grand Mosque of Medan or Masjid Raya Al-Mashun ("Al-Mashun Grand Mosque") is a mosque located in Medan, Indonesia. At
first, the Mosque was designed by the Dutch architect Theodoor Van Erp (1874–1958) who also designed The Maimoon Palace,
but was then handed over to JA Tingdeman. Van Erp at that time was called to Java by the Dutch government to join in the
process of restoring the Borobudur temple in Central Java. The main room, ablution, entrance gates, and towers make up the
mosque. The main room's octagonal design is not present in the prayer room. The smaller side has a "porch" that extends
outward and is joined to on the opposite side. Islamic art is blended with the remaining wooden windows surrounding the
veranda doors that have beautiful stained glass from the art nouveau era (1890–1914). The entire mosque is ornamented,
including the walls, ceilings, pillars, arches, and lavish surfaces covered in flowers and other beautiful plants. There are steps in
front of each porch. The main prayer hall is surrounded by an earlier octagon that appears on the outside and has four aisles on
each of its four sides.

PALACE ARCHITECTURE
The Omo Sebua (chief’s house)- Bawomatalvo, Nias. a traditional house style of the Nias people from Nias island, Indonesia.
They are built only for the houses of village's chiefs.

Puri Agung Kanginan - It was built in the 19th Century at Amlapura. Basically, Puri Agung Kanginan has three parts: the royal
residential area, the gardens, and the social hall.

Pagaruyung Palace is the istana (royal palace) of the former Pagaruyung Kingdom, located in Tanjung Emas subdistrict near
Batusangkar town, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia. West Sumatra governor Harun Zen initiated construction of
the Istano Basa Pagaruyung in 1976 as a way of reviving the flagging pride of the Minang community after the suppression.

COLONIAL ARCHITECTURE

Villa Isola, located at the northern part of Bandung, the capital of West Java province of Indonesia, is a building designed by
Charles Prosper Wolff Schoemaker, he was a Dutch architect who designed several distinguished Art Deco buildings in Bandung,
Indonesia. He has been described as "the Frank Lloyd Wright of Indonesia," and Wright had a considerable influence on
Schoemaker's modernist designs.
