The Koran is usually recited in Arabic.

2. Research two famous people who are Muslims. Write a summary of the life and beliefs of each person (1 page per
person).
Muhammad Ali was Muslim, and he was a professional American boxer. He was also an entertainer, poet and
philanthropist and he is widely regarded as one of the most significant sports figures of the 20 th century.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is the Emir of Qatar. He is the fourth son of the previous Emir, Hamad bin
Khalifa. He has been the ruler of Qatar since 2013 when his father abdicated the throne.
3. Islam has several important prophets. Conduct research to find out who some other important prophets are for
Muslims. Write a short summary on at least two of these prophets (1 paragraph per prophet).
4. The Mosque is a significant place for Muslims. Conduct some further research and write a report on Mosques,
covering the following information:
d) Draw a diagram / picture of what a typical Mosque looks like on the inside. Indicate any special
places/objects that are usually found in a Mosque. Explain the significance of these special places/ objects in
the Mosque.
