by appropriate people can be accessed and viewed, but does not allow access to all
people within the organisation. List at least six procedures for accessing

b) Querying - in order to find pertinent information, this entails searching the database
using precise search phrases or criteria.
c) Sorting - in this process, search results are arranged in an established order, such as
alphabetical, chronological, or numerical order.
d) Filtering - filters are used in this process to hone search results such as a date range,
category, or more pertinent criteria.
e) Indexing - this process comprises indexing the database to facilitate quicker and more
effective searches.
f) Backup and Recovery - to avoid data loss due to system failures or other unanticipated
events, this technique entails making backups of the database.
