Erin:In today's environmentally conscious world, finding sustainable alternatives to everyday

products is crucial. One such product that has gained attention is the paper bag, (next slide)

commonly used for shopping and packaging. However, the production and disposal of
traditional paper bags contribute to deforestation and waste accumulation. Paper bags are commonly
used as an alternative to plastic bags, but their production requires (next slide)

cutting down trees and using a significant amount of water and energy.(next slide)

Sam: Banana leaves, on the other hand, are a renewable and abundant resource that does not
require deforestation. Banana leaves possess several qualities that make them an ideal substitute for
traditional paper bags. Unlike paper production, which requires cutting down trees,(next slide)

harvesting banana leaves for bag production doesn't harm the plant itself. Since banana trees
are abundant and regenerative, a certain type of a banana leaf caught our attention.(next slide)

Erin: Pakil Banana (Musa balbasiana colla) Leaves. Pakil banana (Musa balbasiana colla)
leaves possess excellent strength and durability, making them suitable for various applications,
including packaging. When properly treated and processed, these leaves can be transformed into
sturdy paper bags capable of carrying a considerable amount of weight. This sustainable approach
helps in conserving valuable forest resources and protecting biodiversity. That is why we thought of
this research entitled (next slide)

“The feasibility of using Pakil Banana (Musa balbasiana colla) Leaves as an alternative for
paper bag production. (with fragrance)” By conducting this research may be able to resolve the issue
or deforestation and pollution. We want a product that is less expensive and more attainable that the
traditional ones that we use (next slide).

Sam:Pakil Banana (Musa balbasiana colla) leaf paper bags present a compelling alternative
to traditional paper bags, offering numerous environmental benefits. By utilizing this renewable
resource, we can reduce deforestation, minimize waste, and promote sustainable practices
