1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 General
This general procedure was prepared for PT. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara Roll On/Roll Off operation and also
intended to build temporary jetty for unloading 350 Tons MP Column + LP Column from 270 feet barge or LCT
2000 DWT using Multi-Axle Trailer to quay.

Other civil engineering calculation will be provided once this procedure is approved

1.2 Scope
This procedure covers PT. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara intended to build the temporary jetty for landing and
beaching the 270 feet barge and LCT 2000 DWT.

4.8 Settlement Calculation


Structures built on a very thick layer of soft soil may require soil improvement, so that the soil is able to
support the loads above it such as road structures built on embankments, which are located on soft soil layers.
To avoid cracking of the embankment surface due to settlement, it is necessary to calculate the maximum
settlement that occurs. The sketch of the embankment on soft soil as shown below:

8. CONSTRUCTION METHOD STATEMENT


The following is an assessment of the means of construction of the proposed jetty at the time of application for a
barge landing and beaching. Before construction commences, a more detailed construction method statement will
be prepared and submitted for approval in advance of any works taking place.

The construction of temporary jetty will include the following two main items:

• Jetty Access road (239 meter long x 12 meter width)


• Jetty Quay (19 meter long x 32 meter width)

The jetty structure will be supported with jumbo sandbag on the front and side before being dumped with quarry course.
This is also to optimize quality and minimize the potential environment impacts and risk inherent in marine working like
tendering the barge to the jetty, or against the sea wave.

Typically the construction of the temporary jetty would be staged from foreshore using excavator, operators, and labor
plus supervision. Dozer will be required to leveling the ground and maybe compactor can be used.

Bollard installation will use long arm excavator and embedded to the sea bed up to 3 meter in order to get bollard
strength more than 9 Tons against tensile force. Distance of the bollard will be based on the mooring arrangement.

Working area on the foreshore will be limited for the dump truck traffic and as necessary will be kept to be limited to the
safe working minimum to undertake the construction activities. Vehicles access to the jetty will be strictly controlled and
working areas and access track will be clearly remarked and fenced as appropriate with line and sign.

Fuel will be required for the diesel power of our supported equipment and to minimize the number of fuel deliveries, we
will use our fuel drum to support our operation.

The jetty construction contractor will be required to demonstrate that detailed working practices and construction
methods are appropriate to ensure that sufficient measures will be in place to prevent construction materials and
equipment from entering the Project area.

We will support AMNT person in contact for any documents that needed to submit to environmental authorities.

11. CONCLUSION
- The settlement that will occur at quay depth of 5.5 m is 1,761 m with 5,13 years of Long Term Settlement. As this
is Temporary Jetty that usage for short period of usage then the Long Term Settlement can be not calculated.
We only use Immediate Settlement as from the analysis using the finite element method (Plaxis), Total Extreme
Immediate Settlement is 25,15 x 10-3 m = 2,515 cm

- Jetty will be passed by cargo weighing 350 tons and distributed to 24 axles. Axle Load is 7,9 tons per axle line
with Ground Bearing Pressure is 3,5 ton/m2. Based on Jetty capacity calculation, the jetty is able to carry a
load of 6,85 T/m2. So, 3,5 ton/m2 < 6,85 ton/m2 (Ok)

- There are 6 points of mooring, each point of Boulders construct using 6 Pcs of Reinforce Concrete Block with
weight @2,4 tons. Total self weight of each set of Boulders is 6 x 2,4 tons = 14,4 tons. Boulder force maximum
is 4,75 tons for LCT 2000 DWT, 4,75 tons < 14,4 tons (Ok) and 5,5 tons for Barge 270 feet, 5,5
tons < 14,4 tons (Ok)

- Installation of Temporary Jetty include processing of permit will takes 4 months and demolished of Temporary
Jetty can be done for 2 months.

- Design of Temporary Jetty is using maximum for suitable LCT and Tug Barge. LCT is 2000 DWT and Barge is
maximum 270 feet. Operation for Loading/Discharging can be done in High – Low Tide with Ro-Ro (Roll On-Roll
Off) Method.
