SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN

(COOKERY)
I. OBJECTIVE
At the end of the lesson, the students expected to:
 Identify the kitchen utensils commonly found in the kitchen
 Value the uses and importance of kitchen utensils.
 Demonstrate the proper use of kitchen utensils.
II.SUBJECT MATTER
Title: kitchen utensils commonly found in the kitchen.
Materials: visual aid and pictures
III PROCETURES:
A. DAILY ROUTINE
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Energizer
 Classroom management
 Checking of attendance
B. REVIEW
The teacher will ask the students about the lesson last meeting.
The students will give an example of methods of cooking.

C. MOTIVATION:
The teacher will show the three (3) objects on the board .
Students will volunteer and identify the object that have been show.
D. PRESENTATION:
The teacher will present the lesson.
The lesson is all about:

kitchen utensils commonly found in the kitchen .

E. DISCUSSION:
The teacher will start the discussion.
The teacher will ask students where do they think those three (3) objects can be
use.

WHAT IS A KITCHEN UTENSIL?


It is a small hand-held tool used for food preparation.

KITCHEN UTENSILS FUCTION AND USES.


1 CHOPPING BOARD- Durable board in which we place materials for cutting.
2 KNIFE- Used for cutting such as meat.
3 PRYING PAN – A flat bottomed pan used for prying, searing and browning foods.
4 GREATER – Used to grate cheese etc.
5 OVEN GLOVES- Protect the wearers hand from hot objects.
6 LADLE- Used for soup, stew and others.
7 SPOON- Used primarily for eating.
8 FORK – Used to spear foods either to hold, cut with a knife , or to lift them to
the mouth.
9 WOODEN SPOON – Used for stirring sauces and for mixing ingredients .
10 MEASURING SPOONS – Used to measure an amount of an ingredients .

The teacher will ask after the discussion if they have questions.
The teacher will then
Call a student to give the definition of kitchen utensils.
The students will enumerate five kitchen utensils commonly found in kitchen.

F . APPLICTION
The class will be divided in into two (2) groups. Each group will present a
Demonstration on how to properly use kitchen utensils for 2 minutes.

IV- EVALUATION:
DIRECTION : Identify the following kitchen tools based on the given functions and
uses.
1. It is around dish or container typically used to prepare and serve foods.
2. Durable board in materials is place for cutting.
3. Protect our clothing from any spills.
4. Used for grate cheese etc.
5. Used for soup ,strew and others.

V- ASSIGNMENT:
Research and bring at least (5) different equipment found in the kitchen.
