1. Introduction
The process of enhancing the workforce's knowledge and abilities to enable them to
execute their jobs successfully is known as training. As a result, training is the process
through which an individual gains job-related skills and information. Training is also
crucial for preparing young people for employment and for meeting the professional
workforce's development demands in many sectors. On a path that helps to meet the
Sultanate's labour market's demand for skilled workers who can successfully
contribute to raising production levels and boosting economic growth. Students and
graduate students can put their theoretical information learned throughout their
academic years to good use through training. Trainees might learn a variety of talents
during their training. As a result, Dhofar University has created an obligatory training
course in both the public and private sectors, as well as in numerous organisations,
corporations, authorities, and ministries, so that its students can get real-world
experience before graduating.
The research relates to a four-month training programme conducted by the ministry of
Millimeter engineering consultancy. There were a variety of jobs that were completed
in four months after splitting the time period and days for each activity. The duties
involve training administration, coordinating with internal and external supervisors,
visiting various working locations, knowing computer systems and their installation,
and understanding software and programme installation. Computer and other device
repair, and also hardware. Moreover, networking, device knowledge, IP address
creation, user name and password creation, domains and routers comprehension, and
many other networking-related tasks such as networking school installation, testing,
and maintenance are all included. The major goal of this course is to get knowledge,
expertise, and information regarding network engineers. The major element and goal
of the topic training is to gain a knowledge of the skills and competencies required by
network engineers. Additionally, the strong refers to the training's conclusions and
suggestions. The conclusion and suggestions of this report describe the experience
and further improvements.
2. Tasks Accomplished
2.1.1. Duration
For the introduction, I spent 5 days and 24 hours. During this time, I met with
supervisors (both internally and externally) who presented me to all of the training
locations and tools used in the training programmes.
2.1.2. Description
The main goal of this job is to learn about making a good first impression at work.
The goal was to have a better knowledge of technical problems relating to information
and communication, as well as networking. During the first four days, I visited all of
the training locations, including offices, installation sites, networking areas, and a
variety of other formally and informally linked locations to the training programme.
This introduction phase has broadened my perspective on the actual work that will be
needed of me during the course. It has provided a clear and concise framework for
understanding the true achievement without any reservations. As a result, supervisors
presented the divisions in a favourable manner, such as the ministry of electrical and
computer engineering department and its networking, as well as the programmes and
hardware utilize.
2.2.1. Duration
This work was likewise completed over the first five days and took a total of
24 hours because it relates to the introduction of all of the tools and techniques that
were utilised during the training programme.
2.3.1. Duration
As stated previously, this job took 24 hours to complete, including the prior task's
association. It comes down to four days of activity since the first five days are
dedicated to introducing everything and everyone.
2.3.2. Description
I obtained information on computers and printers, as well as many other hardware
such as hubs and cables, as well as wireless gadgets that do not require wires for
connection. This comprehension time influenced favourably the learning session
throughout this assignment, as a result of which I learned about tools such as
computers and their related accessories, as well as a variety of other instruments. All
of this provides a comprehensive picture of networking tools and programmes used in
computer devices for information and communication, as well as successful
networking for network maintenance.
The work entails actually comprehending the methods. For example, the supervisor
informed me about the maintenance processes, explaining that if the networking
cables aren't operating correctly, they're reported to the admin branch, which then
supplies the necessary equipment, which is installed after permission from the
appropriate authority. Similarly, programmes are updated with the consent of the
appropriate authorities and evaluation of the installed programmes' or hardware's
major benefits. This task session enhanced my real thinking on the maintenance
procedures that are used to keep the general operating orderly.
2.6.2. Description
There was a monitor, similar to a LCD or television , with a power cable that needed
to be plugged into the electricity board, as well as a system that included a hard disc
for storage, a central processing unit, a motherboard, and a CD room, all of which
needed to be plugged into the electricity board, and the monitor and system were
connected by a single power cable. Moreover, the keyboard and mouse are connected
to the system through wires, which are plugged into ports on the back or front of the
machine. The printer and other devices are also connected to the computer system
through cables, or a wireless method can be used to connect all of these devices.. This
work has taught me a lot about how to install computer systems and gadgets using
wireless and wireless technology. Moreover, this process includes the installation of a
window for computer operation. Furthermore, drivers for the connected devices'
efficacy have been installed. In this regard, I have gained knowledge.
This work includes computer system repair, since there are several actions that must
be understood in order to do maintenance, as issues might develop in any area or
associated device of the computer system. As a result, computer system maintenance
is an important element of the training curriculum.
2.7.1. Duration
I spent 20 hours and 4 days to accomplish this work, during which time I adopted all
of the difficulties that arose during the training session connected to computer repair
and took the appropriate training-related activities to fix the issues.
2.7.2. Description
And during training session, the first issue arose in the CD room, which was resolved
by opening it and disconnecting it from the system by cleaning the lenses. Meanwhile,
the second issue arose in the files, which was connected to faulty material and
necessitated the installation of anti virus software. After downloading the anti virus,
damaged files and data were inspected and the problem was fixed; moreover, the
applications installed on the computer system, such as the internet explorer and
antiviral, were upgraded after a 15-day or month trial period.During the training
program, the hard drive problem was also fixed, as the hard disc memory was made
overloaded, which was then cleared by removing unneeded files and directories.
2.10.1. Duration
I spent five hours on this assignment since it was simple to understand the true
qualities of a network engineer that needed to be given in an engineer. As a result, the
subject work has received only one day's worth of effort.
2.10.2. Description
In this job, I learned that the electrical engineer must be qualified in networking and
have a thorough grasp of all the tools that are utilised in the process. For example, a
screwdriver is used to grip the wire and hub in the ports, as well as the main ’s
improved to the modems and other devices. The computer system should be in the
hands of the network engineer because of knowledge of the IP address and proper
delivery to the website. Because interaction with the server computer and devices is
impossible without an internet access, the network system is reliant on it. As a result,
an elecctrical engineer must be able to operate a computer system, as well as install
software and hardware devices.
This task encompasses all of the tasks that I must perform on a daily basis, regardless
of whether the assignment is altered the next day. These activities must be completed
on a regular basis. These training methods help me become more visible and
productive in my personal growth..
2.11.1. Duration
Since these tasks were quite frequent and generally found at any work location, I
spent at least all of my time doing everyday tasks.
2.11.2. Description
These include arriving at the office on time and departing on time as determined by
the organization's set-up. Because these individuals are encountered on a regular
basis, interaction with them is done on a daily basis. Learning from other employees
who had been with the company for a long time was incredible and surprisingly useful
in comprehending the words of internal and external managers. The internal and
external supervisors' presentations keep me focused and confident in my ability to
comprehend the positive and negative aspects of this situation.Attendance rate at work
and office job, as well as outside work, has taught me to distinguish between office
and non-office work, and networking and monitoring networking in other schools is
various and more difficult than working in an office.
