CHAPTER IV

RESULTS

The purpose of this chapter is to gather the responses and data through

the conducted interview. The responses were transcribed and formed into

themes. Here are the following:

Theme No. 1.how do you feel about selling while schooling? Being a student

entrepreneur is one way to meet daily demands, Student

entrepreneur organizations, like the Oxford Entrepreneurs, allow students to

meet likeminded people, in an atmosphere of creativity and broad

mindedness. Entrepreneurship allows students to learn more than just their

chosen field of study, and creates an interdisciplinary environment to work and

develop in. Personal and confidential matters in this theme is highlighted

because according to Participant A, “Kapoy og labad sa ulo, kay usahay dili naka

maka focus sa school kay tungod sa akung negosyo” (It is exhausting sometimes

that you can't focus on school because of my business). Those are the possible

outcomes if you do not have time management skills. Participant B stated,

“Maayo kay maka tigom ka og makatabang paka sa imong papa og mama”

(Good,because you can earn and help your parents). He uses time management

to help his parents while he is in school.


Theme No. 2. Does selling while schooling makes you a productive person?

By selling products you will meet the needs of others. During the interview,

participant A replied “Oo,tungod kay maka gana sa ako pag skwela samtang

mahalinan” ( Yes,because it motivates me to go to school while earning). He

said, if you selling while schooling it make you a productive person. Similarly,

participant B stated that through selling while schooling make you a productive

person, “Oo, oy para sa ako a, kay ako mamaligya ako gyod ang mag himo para

dili sila mabalaka kung hugaw ba o dili ang ilang kan-on” (Yes, for me because

everything I sell is my own work so they don't care if it's dirty or not. She said

everything he sells is his own work so that nothing happen to the people who buy

it. All the participants have stated that by selling while schooling makes you a

productive person.

Theme No. 3. How do you balance your tasks in doing business and meeting

the demands of your academics? As student entrepreneurs we should never

forget to make time management.This is a must to do especially to student

entrepreneurs Participant A said “Bisan naa koy business unahon pa gihapon

nako akung pag skwela” (Even though I have a business, my education is still my

priority Followed by her statement “Make a planner and prioritize things that

needs be done first”.
