Application
GlucoPure® Foam is a Coco based, mild surfactant with an excellent foaming
profile. Next to its high foam mileage and its outstanding ecological profile,
GlucoPure® Foam can be easily processed and has a positive influence on the
cold temperature stability.
GlucoPure® Foam is therefore especially suitable for the use as co-surfactant in
hand dishwashing liquids (HDWLs) or other high foaming cleaners.

1 These characteristics are for guidance only and not to be taken as product specifications. The
tolerances are given in the product specification sheet. For further product properties, specifications,
safety and ecological data, please refer to the MSDS.

Mildness
GlucoPure® Foam is amongst the mildest surfactants in the market. It is
extremely mild to both skin proteins and skin lipids and is therefore very useful
for formulations with mildness claims and for sensitive skin.

Compatibility
GlucoPure® Foam is miscible with all types of surfactants (anionic, non-ionic,
cationic and amphoteric). CLARIANT INTERNATIONAL LTD

Formulations with GlucoPure® Foam can be thickened with small amounts of Rothausstrasse 61

salt or all types of natural and synthetic polymers. Switzerland

Formulation advice CONSUMER SPECIALTIES
GlucoPure® Foam is liquid above 30 – 32 °C. www.ics.clariant.com
GlucoPure® Foam should preferably be added in molten form to solutions of www.clariant.com
other surfactants (e.g. Sodium Laureth Sulfate, other co-surfactants) at any step
of the manufacturing process in order to avoid gelling. Clear surfactant solutions
can be obtained at any pH between 3.5 and 10.
If GlucoPure® Foam is dissolved at temperatures below 30 °C (the Krafft point)
in pure water, viscous, metastable solutions are formed. Those solutions are
clear at pH = 7 and slightly turbid at pH = 5. On standing they form precipitates,
which can be re-dissolved by heating to above 30 – 40 °C.

Storage and Shelf Life

GlucoPure® Foam can either be stored below its melting point, where it will
solidify slowly, or it can be stored in temperature controlled containers at a
recommended temperature of 38 – 42 °C.
When stored in tightly closed containers at room temperature in a clean and
aerated place, the shelf life is at least two years. After this period the product
should be analysed for extension of the shelf life.
On warm storage at 38 – 42 °C the shelf life is at least 3 months. After this
period the product should be analysed for extension of the shelf life.
