MAFE 05 – Individual Assignment

Instructions:

This is an essay type assignment. All references should be cited at the end of the paper. The length of the
assignment should be around 3500 words, double spaced, and type-written on A4 size papers using
Times New Roman font 12. Completed assignments should be handed over to the Department on or
before 05th November 2017. The late submissions will not be accepted.

Individual Assignment -

The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) is a widely recognized strategy being used in several
developing countries to attract much needed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) instead of
borrowing money from foreign sources. However, In the case of Sri Lanka there are many issues
in implementing this strategy as we are witnessing now. Critically examine the PPP strategy in
the Sri Lankan context and suggest solutions to proposed PPP programs of the government.
