Length to Answer

If you have never prepared for an interview before, you’re probably wondering two things:

1. How long should my script be?

2. How long should I speak for?

The answer is 200 – 250 words and 2 minutes.

Why? Because if you speak for faster than 125 words or longer than 2 minutes, we tend to
find it’s either too fast, or too much.

Practise Method
Once you have written your script. You want to spend as much of your time speaking as
possible.

You can both improve your answers and give yourself feedback by:

1. Saying your answer and recording it on your phone

2. Watching it back
3. Mentally noting 1-2 things you could do better
4. Repeat this process for a total of 3 times for each question

Sounds simple, but you will be amazed what a difference this practise method can make.
