The College of Engineering and Information Technology Student Council, the college
department's highest governing student body, proposes to conduct an activity called “Roar
of the Runway: Where Recycled Fashion Meets Drag Race Fantasy”. Roar of the
runway will last a day utilizing the CEIT vicinity and International Convention Center.

This event is more than just a fashion show; it combines style, sustainability, and a
celebration of diversity, emphasizing welcoming and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.
We see a runway alive with the movement of models wearing stunning outfits carefully
crafted from eco-friendly materials to demonstrate the fusion of beauty and environmental
responsibility.

The activity will commence on _____, and conclude on _______. The Roar of the Runway
will utilize the CEIT vicinity and International Convention Center.

The Activity Proposal, Budgetary Expenses, Guidelines per Activity, and Activity Flow, are
attached for your perusal. We request your approval to undertake Roar of the Runway in the
_______ Academic Year during the said dates. The officers of CEIT-SC will be the
personnel-in-charge for the whole event. We look forward to your favorable response for us

I. TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY
“Roar of the Runway: Where Recycled Fashion Meets Drag Race Fantasy”

III. RATIONALE
Roar of the Runway: Where Recycled Fashion Meets Drag Race Fantasy is a one-
day event offering an excellent platform for unity and innovation. The council wants
the CEIT students to be innovative and have confidence, artistic expression, personal
growth, and steady skill development. The Roar of the Runway: Where Recycled
Fashion Meets Drag Race Fantasy caters to all students from various academic
organizations under the College of Engineering and Information Technology. This
event will strengthen the bond of CEIT students and help them be socially and
culturally aware, making them recognize other's values, customs, and beliefs.

IV. OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY


Generally, the Roar of the Runway: Where Recycled Fashion Meets Drag Race
Fantasy aims to provide a platform for unity and innovation.

Specifically, this project aims to achieve the following objectives:


a. Raise Awareness: Educate participants about recycling and the significance
of environmentally conscious actions.
b. Promote Sustainable Fashion: Showcase creative fashion designs made
from recycled materials to encourage sustainable choices in the fashion
industry.
c. Diversity: Provide a platform for the LGBTQIA+ community to express
themselves through drag and fashion, fostering acceptance and
understanding.
d. Confidence Building: The CEIT Drag performers often develop a strong
stage presence, confidence, and charisma through their performances, which
can help the students express themselves.
e. Artistic Expression: Drag is a form of artistic expression that allows the
CEIT Drag performers to explore and showcase their creativity, from makeup
and costumes to performances that challenge norms and tell stories.
f. Personal Growth: Preparing for a Drag race involves setting goals,
working on self-presentation, and challenging the CEIT Drag
performers to step outside their comfort zone, thus leading to personal
growth.
g. Skill Development: Drag races often require participants to refine skills like
talent performance, modeling, and fashion sense, which can help them boost
their knowledge and skills that may open up newer opportunities to them in
the future.

V. MECHANICS AND IMPLEMENTATION

A. DATE AND VENUE


Date: March 8, 2024
Venue: International Convention Center (ICON)
Participants: The participants of the activity will be composed of at least 20
bonafide students of College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT)
Cavite State University – Don Severino de las Alas Campus that will register on the
Registration Form to be released on the CEIT-SC Facebook page.

B. STRATEGIES

Student Design Competition: Encourage students from various disciplines to


participate in a sustainable fashion design competition, showcasing their creative and
innovative designs.

Recycled Fashion Runway: Participants will sashay down the runway donning
captivating outfits created entirely from recycled materials, demonstrating innovative
and sustainable fashion choices.

Drag Race Eleganza: Introduce a thrilling twist by integrating drag race elements
into the event, where participants combine fashion, performance, and self-expression
in a vibrant showcase lip-sync.

Guest Speakers: Collaborate with environmental advocates and LGBTQIA+


community leaders to deliver engaging talks on sustainable fashion and LGBTQIA+
inclusivity.

C. BUDGET ESTIMATE
