Enterprise, HTTP transfer . PeopeTools 8.1x, 8.4x

SYMPTOMS

In this instance, Tools was 8.43, AIX platform, http transfer method being used.
Below error is produced in the distribution log, and the report distribution status stays as posting.

PostReport](3) HTTP transfer error.

PSDSTSRV.1052898 [06/24/04 13:10:23 PostReport](1) (JNI): Java exception thrown: java.lang.VerifyError: (class: psft/pt8
/pshttp/PSHttpFactory, method: <init> signature: ()V) Incompatible argument to method

CAUSE

Not Applicable

SOLUTION

The files in the PS_HOME/appserv/classes dir were corrupted. In this case (for this particular environment ) it was the
PSHttpFactory file. PeopleSoft delivers these files and you can simply re-transfer from the original demo install or copy
from another environment at your site where the files are intact (as delivered by PeopleSoft )
