Js0114.01 WD-ACQUIRE System Introduction

1. Overview

The system, mated with high-voltage generator, multi-function filming device, and
other accessories, is for radiography and diagnosis for medical institutions. By use of
digital imaging and capturing devices, the system completes the acquisition of
continuous fluoroscopy, pulse fluoroscopy (optional), spot imaging, DR image, and
DSA image (optional).

The system incorporates image acquisition, display, processing, and storage and
network transmission as a whole. The application performs the patient image storage
and management, image data acquisition, display, processing and storage, and
generator parameter selection and related information display, as well as Dicom
Worklist, Dicom Export / Import, and Dicom Print functions. And it has the following
advantages:

 Personalized acquisition exposure parameters based on acquisition modes;

 A wealth of image processing functions: image noise reducing, enhancement,
subtraction (optional), window width / level adjustment, zoom, and roam;
 Safe and reliable patient data management, and convenient patient data query;
8

 Dynamic information display (optional), and playback of sequencing images;

 DICOM3.0 compatible.

The system can be connected, through network hub, to other devices on the network,
such as PACS service, laser camera, Worklist workstation, the network interface of
which must support IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3x standards. The port uses
RJ45 connector and meets the DICOM3.0 protocol.

1.2 System Hardware

 Image receiver: 1 (or 2)

1.3 Routine Preventive Maintenance

Here are some considerations during routine maintenance:

 USB external storage device is prohibited.

 Keep from dust and the room air environment.
 Keep from moisture and control the humidity as the Manual requires.
 Be ware of ambient temperature. Air-conditioning is a must.

1.4 Cleaning

There is no strict cleaning rule for digital imaging system. In case of original dusty components, it
is best to follow these steps:
Keep all system components from water and corrosive
Note cleaner.

 Computer:
Wipe out the dust outside the computer case by a clean, soft cloth.

 Image display:
Cleanse the monitor screen with normal glasses cloth. First make sure power-off,
spray the cleaner on a soft cloth in fear that the liquid leak to the display's internal
components. Vacuum the dust residing in the upper part of the display. Leave no
left scraps of paper behind; the blockage of vent may cause the monitor
overheating and spontaneous combustion. Wipe the monitor screen by anti-static
cloth regularly.

 Keyboard:
Blow away the dust and scraps of paper gathered inside the keyboard. A vacuum
cleaner can be used, but ensure the keyboard is not loosen to avoid being sucked
into the vacuum cleaner.

area is on the left, the simulation area of selected exam sub-class, at the bottom, the
shooting guide area, at the middle black zone, and generator control area and
ionization chamber control area, on the right from top to bottom.

1.1 APR Setting

Select the parameter APR (automatic procedures radiography) before exposure and a
series of default parameters are set, including generator exposure conditions and
ionization chamber settings, and can be edited according to needs.

Three steps to APR preferences:

Select the patient's body type: Child, Thin, Medium-sized, and Fat;
Select body part. Select the corresponding part of the human body model in the

interface based on the actual exam sub-class;

Select the organ or part. Select the corresponding organ or body of the human body
model, click right, and choose from the list. The mimic diagram of the organ or part
appears in the bottom of the interface.

1.2 Generator Control

The 5 status icons above indicate separately: whether the current generator in the
ready condition of exposure, whether the generator is in the exposure condition, large
or small focal point is in use, level bed radiography, and standing radiography state.
Electrical parameters are displayed in the middle part.

SID: Distance from medicine ball to detector;

: Rotation angle of medicine ball;

Grid: Grid installation and pitch instructions;
In the lower part, the exposure parameters: Kv, mA, ms, and mAs of generator are
displayed and set.

, Is to set Kv, mA, ms, and mAs. When setting Kv value, press the left
mouse button to quickly add or subtract.

After AEC exposure, the display bar shows the actual exposure time. If an error
occurs in the generator, the error message and code are displayed in the display bar.
The generator can be reset (only for the error when it can be reset).

1.3 Ionization Room Control

If any one of the three views of the ionization chamber is selected, then the generator
is in the way of AEC exposure. All or either two views can be selected, and once
selected, the corresponding exposure time of the views can not be manually adjusted.
There is no limit for other parameters.

Click to restore the initial configuration of exam sub-program;

1.4 Simulation Graph Control

Select the corresponding body of human body model according to the actual exam
sub-class and click right. A drop-down list of exam sub-class appears as shown in
Figure 5.2.

1) Relationship of exam sub-program and other lists
A exam sub-program corresponds to four groups of Generator parameters, that is, one
group of Generator parameters is dependent on a group of exam sub-program and
exam sub-class. Note that each generator parameter corresponds to a set of image
processing algorithms.

A body shape, body part, and projection method can be selected for an exam sub-
program, which exists in body shape table, body parts table, and projection method
table.

Refer to Exam Program to Add, Edit, and Delete exam sub-program.

2) Generator parameter table

Generator parameters include KV, MA, MAS, ionization chamber, and focal point
size. Select one of records to configure the current KV, MA, MAS, and ionization
chamber. Note configuration can be done only when hardware connection is
successful. Avoid power cross-border due to manual modification.
