WARNING
12 The multiple portable socket-outlet provided with the system shall be only used for
supplying power to equipment which is intended to form part of the system. If the
electrical device that does not belong to the system plug in the socket, the total power
may exceed the maximum load of the separating transformer and cause high
temperature and fire. Enclosure leakage current within the system exceeds the
standard limit, which may lead an electric risk.
13 Multiple portable socket-outlets shall not be placed on the floor. An additional multiple
portable socket-outlet or extension cord shall not be connected to the system.
14 Only accessories supplied by EDAN can be used. Or else, the performance and
electric shock protection cannot be guaranteed, and the patient may be injured.
15 Make sure that all the components and accessories are connected and checked
correctly before powering on.
16 No part of the system is intended to be maintained by the user. Unauthorized
serviceman shall not open the enclosure.
17 Use the accessories as attached. Otherwise, the patient or operator may receive
electrical shock or other injury.
18 The camera light source is very bright. When the camera is on, do not stare at the
light source or aim the light source at the patient's eyes.
19 Only authorized personnel should perform the replacement of button cell.
20 Only rechargeable button cell supplied or recommended by EDAN can be used.
21 The system is not for diagnosis or treatment, it is a non-contact examination device. It
should not touch the patient during examination.
CAUTION
1 The system is designed for continuous operation. Do not water the device.
2 Keep the environment clean. Make the device far from corrosive medicine, dust area,
high-temperature and humid environment. Avoid vibration. Do not move it with the
power cord connected.
3 Do not operate the device if it is damp or wet because of condensation or spills. Avoid
using the device immediately after moving it from a cold environment to a warm,
humid location.
4 Keep the trolley at least 5cm away from the wall for the sake of heat and air
dissipation.
5 Do not sterilize the device or any accessory with autoclave or gas.
6 This system is medical equipment. Unauthorized third party software is forbidden to
be installed on it.
7 This system is built in Win 10 operating system with genuine label on the device. If
the label is lost or damaged, EDAN will not exchange.
8 Do not delete the system files. That's to avoid improper system running.

measurement (one with a length of 200mm and the other with a length of 300mm)
1) Install the aperture on the camera. Switch on the camera to make the aperture start working.
2) Put the camera against the head surface of the two black boxes respectively. Aim the light
source center at the center hole among the 5 holes of the black box.
3) Switch on the CL-200A, connect it to the computer, and set the CL-S10 software. Select
Ev[lx] for illumination, and select x and y for chroma. You can choose to test it every second
and 10 times in total. The data selected is exported to the Excel in the computer.
4) Put the CL-200A at the 5 measurement points on the rear surface of the black box
respectively. Click on the start button of the CL-S10 software to record the color temperature
values and light intensity.
5) Check the color temperature values and light intensity. The color temperature should be in
the range of 3200K-7000K.The light intensity for C3 should be equal to or higher than
1600Lx , the light intensity for C6 should be equal to or higher than 2500Lx and the light
intensity for C6 HD should be equal to or higher than 3000Lx.
If the results meet the requirements above, the test is passed. Otherwise, it fails.

C3, C6, C6 HD Video Colposcope Service Manual Tests and Maintenance
NOTE:
1 For testing according to IEC60601-1, system must be tested.
2 With devices that are connected to other devices by means of a data cable, such a
connection must be disconnected prior to performing the electrical safety test, in
order to avoid incorrect measurements.
6.3.1 Protective Earth Resistance
NOTE:
The circuit diagram is based on the Fluke 601Pro series safety analyzer.
This test measures the impendence between Protective Earth (PE) terminal and exposed metal
parts of the Device Under Test (DUT) which is protectively earthed. A current of 25A is passed
within 5s to 10s through the protective terminal and each accessible metal part which is
protectively earthed.
Allowable value: without mains cable, maximum impendence: 100 mOhms
(IEC 60601-1)

NOTE:
The circuit diagram is based on the Fluke 601Pro series safety analyzer.
This test measures the leakage current of exposed metal parts of the Device Under Test (DUT)
and parts of the system within the patient environment. The test is performed with normal and
reverse mains supply polarity using S2 in normal condition and single fault condition.
Normal condition (NC): S1, S3, S5 closed, S2, S4 variable.
Single fault condition (SFC): S1, S3 open (one for each time), S5 closed, S2, S4 variable.
Allowable value:
Normal condition (NC): 100µA (IEC/EN60601-1)
Single fault condition (SFC): 500µA (IEC/EN60601-1)

test is preformed with normal and reverse mains supply polarity in normal condition and single
fault condition.
Normal condition (NC): S1, S5 closed, S3 open, S2, S4 variable.
Single fault condition (SFC): S1, S3 open, S5 closed, S2, S4 variable.
Allowable value:
Normal condition (NC): 5000µA (IEC/EN60601-1)
Single fault condition (SFC): 10000µA (IEC/EN60601-1)
Leakage Current

6.4 Maintenance
WARNING
Please arrange regular and correct maintenance for the device, or it may affect the
patient examination.
Before each use, perform the following inspections:
Check the device and accessories for any visible evidence of damage.
Check the enclosure and external cables for splits, cracks or signs of twisting.
If any damage is detected, stop using the device. Replace the damage part(s) or contact the
qualified service personnel for service before reusing it.
The fan in the workstation helps heat dissipation and the heat emission hole is on the back of
the trolley. Keep the trolley at least 5cm away from the wall for the sake of heat and air
dissipation.
To avoid the potential accidence resulted from unexpected power lost or unsteady power
supply, it is recommended to provide the system with a USP (Uninterrupted Power Supply).
This system is medical equipment. To protect the system from virus or crash, unauthorized
third-party software should not be installed.
To ensure normal running of the operating system and the software, do not delete or modify
any file on the hard disk.
When the camera is not in use, turn off the power, close the camera cover and put on the
dustproof cover to avoid dust pollution.
Do not touch the lens with your fingers. The grease on the fingers may damage the plating film
on the lens, and the fingerprint may affect the image quality as well.
Keep the camera dry, avoid exposing it to extreme temperature or humidity, and protect it from
direct sunshine.
