choice. It is because each of them can assess specific understanding in different level
of objectives. Different type of test might assess the comprehension level, analysis and
synthesis.

F. In the sample essay “Plant Photosynthesis” given in this section, why would you give a
zero (0) score to a student writing this essay? Justify your answer.
• Grading an esat type of test requires to follow specific direction and criteria and giving a
zero in this kind of essay means that the students didn’t understand the grading
system/criteria thus he or she did not follow the given direction in essay construction.
