Literature Review of Research Method of R&D

1. Based on “RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D) METHOD AS A MODEL DESIGN IN

EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH AND ITS ALTERNATIVES” by Gustine and Sriwijaya article, the article
is aimed to discuss in depth the R&D Method in some educational research by comparing the
simplified steps and characteristics in those research. This paper also provides some
alternatives of model design for educational research in which the usage and its
implementation are adjusted in accordance to the research context and researchers
characteristics. (Gustiani & Sriwjaya, 2019)

2. The article about the development of E-modul in online learning by Rahmatsyah and
Dwiningsih, the researchers aimed this article to determine the feasibility, effectiveness, and
practicality of learning media in the form of an interactive e-module with the research
method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model (Define,
Design, Develop, and Disseminate) which is modified into 3D. The instruments used
consisted of review sheets, validation, student response questionnaires, tests (pretest and
posttest). The data were obtained based on the results of interviews with chemistry teachers
and giving questionnaires to students. (Rahmatsyah & Dwiningsih, 2021)

3. This article is about the development of Android based learning in natural science learning.
This research was conducted with the aim of developing or producing a learning media
product based on the use of virtual reality technology. The method used in this research is
the research and development (R&D) method. This media development focuses on learning
Natural Sciences for grade V Elementary Schools. The initial stage of this research is by
validating media experts and material experts. Then test the feasibility of media products to
the teacher before testing the product to students. (Zulherman* et al., 2021)

4. This article is about building knowledge for medical purpose. This study aimed to examine
the influence of the organizational factors (reward, training, and collaboration) and
knowledge creation process on R&D project performance. A quantitative approach was
employed with the data obtained from the sample of R&D projects from the medical device
firms listed on the Association of Malaysian Medical Industries (AAMI). (Yee et al., 2020)

5. This study aims to obtain data on the feasibility of problem-solving-based test instruments to
foster the Creative thinking skills of junior high school students on environmental
conservation. The method used in this study Is Research & Development (R&D) with
development procedures according to Sugiyono. This study was conducted In 5 stages:
potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design
revision. (Rizkia et al., 2022)
6. This study aims to analyze the level of practicality, validity, and effectiveness of the Quizizz
application as an assessment instrument for the digestive system material at SMA Negeri
Panai Hulu. The research method used in this study was Research and Development (R&D)
method by adopting the Borg and Gall model. Then, it is developed into eight stages of
procedures: Research and Data Collection, Planning, Initial product development, Initial trial,
Product revision, Field trial, Product revision final and Dissemination and implementation.
(Lestari & Ulfa, 2022)

7. This study aims to determine whether the chemistry teaching materials developed Have met
the BSNP standards and are based on SETS and to determine student Responses to the
designed teaching materials. The development method refers toADDIE development model
which has 5 stages, namely the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and
Evaluation stages. This research stage is only Up to the development stage.(Mawaddah &
Silaban, 2021)

8. The aim of this paper was to develop a website of the research institute at Universitas Negeri
Makassar, that can be accessed by many people to check information about research
anytime and anywhere without the limitations of time and location so that the disclosure of
information research can be done. (Ahmar et al., 2017)

9. This research aimed to develop an audiovisual-based PowToon animation video on the

subject matter of chemical bonds and analyze the quality of the audiovisual-based animated
video as learning media to study chemical bonds based on the assessment of material
experts, media experts, chemistry teachers, and students’ responses. This research used
development research methods (R&D) with a 4D development model (Define, Design,
Development, and Dissemination). (Dewi & Kamaludin, 2022)

10. This study aims to develop a practical and effective English Textbook that prioritize the
communicative side i.e., the spoken English for non-English department students. The
Research method used in this research is the Research & Development (R&D) by using the
ADDIE development Model in which the non-English Department students of STKIP Al
Maksum Langkat as its research subject. The Research sample was taken randomly (Random
Sampling) based on the research needs(Rahmadhani, 2021)
