Sir/Madam:

Greetings of peace!

We, the AU-SORTS (Society of Radiologic Technology Students) provided a Risk

Management Plan for our upcoming orientation on the 22nd of August, 2023 entitled
“GENERAL ORIENTATION OF THE COLLEGE OF RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY
IN ARELLANO UNIVERSITY”. This Risk Management Plan is to mitigate or better yet,
avoid all risks possible for the safety and security of all participants and to ensure the safety of
the venue (AU – Little Theater) from any damages.

1. Identify potential risks:

 Slips and falls
 Equipment malfunctions
 Security issues (e.g. unauthorized access to the venue)
 Health emergencies (e.g. heart attack, allergic reaction)

a. Slips and falls:

 Keep walkways and stairways clear of obstacles
 Ensure that all seating is stable and secure
 Display signs to warn of wet floors
 Have a designated person responsible for monitoring and addressing potential
slip and fall hazards.
b. Equipment malfunctions:
 Conduct a thorough inspection of all equipment before the seminar
 Provide guidelines to the officers and participants on how to properly use the
equipment
 Have a backup plan in case of equipment failure (e.g. alternative presentation
methods)
c. Security issues:
 Control access to the venue through a sign-in sheet and/or identification
verification
 Assign an officer/staff to check temperatures of participants before entering.
 Provide participants with emergency contact numbers and procedures in case
of a security breach
d. Health emergencies:
 Have first aid kits available at the venue
 Ensure that staff are trained in basic first aid procedures

2. Communicating the Plan

- We will be discussing the Risk Management Plan with our participants (Students and
Faculty of the College of Radiologic Technology) for briefing and providing
clarifications.

3. Allocate responsibilities:
 Assign a designated person to be in charge of each aspect of the risk management
plan (e.g. slip and fall hazards, equipment, security, first aid)
 Ensure that each staff member and participant is aware of their role in the plan

4. Monitor the situation:

 Regularly check for potential risks throughout the seminar
 Address any potential risks promptly
 Ensure that all staff and participants are following the risk management plan

By following this risk management plan, we can help ensure the safety and well-being of
all participants in the seminar together with the maintenance and safety of the venue.
