Since the release of the MAGNUM® II Bariatric Patient Care System Service Manual
(man102ra), minor inaccuracies have been found that require updating. Listed below are the
page numbers and corrections that require updating. Mark these in your service manual.
These corrections will be made during the next revision of the service manual. If you have any
questions, contact Hill-Rom Technical Support at 800-445-3720.

4.12 Siderail Mounting Block


Tools required: ½" ratchet wrench

Adjustment
1. Loosen, but do not remove, the two bolts (A) that secure the siderail
mounting block (B) to the frame (C).

2. Align the siderail release pin (D) with the top hole in the siderail mounting
block (B), and install the siderail (E) (refer to procedure 4.11).

3. Tighten the two bolts (A) to secure the siderail mounting block (B) in
position.

4. Make sure the siderail release pin (D) secures the siderail (E) in all height
positions.

5. To make sure the MAGNUM® II Bariatric Patient Care System operates


correctly, do the “Function Check” on page 2-5.

4.13 Siderail E-Ring


Tools required: Needle nose pliers

Removal
Remove the two E-rings (A) that secure the rail release handle (B) to the
release pin (C) (see figure 3 on page 4):

Replacement
1. Do the removal procedure in the reverse order.

2. To make sure the MAGNUM® II Bariatric Patient Care System operates


correctly, do the “Function Check” on page 2-5.
