Japan. In my opinion, this is one of the most unusual and mysterious
countries on Earth. Seemingly, we know a good deal about it, but
how many secrets are preserved by the culture of this Eastern State
and by its nature. The very location of Japan on the map of the globe
is very amazing, as the county is located on an archipelago consisting
of seven thousand islands. Most of these islands are covered with
mountains, and some even have volcanoes. Fujiyama is the most
famous Japanese active volcano. Since olden times, it was worshiped
by locals and had the status of a shrine for them. The mountain Fuji is
even now visited by religious pilgrims. Despite its small area, Japan
ranks the 8th in the world for its population. The country has a rich
cultural heritage, so here you can find many attractions related to its
spiritual history. The symbol of Japan is the sacred gateway torii on
the island Miyajima, which serves as the entrance to the monastery
of Itsukushima. It represents the border between the world of the
living and the world of the dead and is built on the water and piles.
The Japanese carefully preserve their religious and cultural traditions.
In addition, they are very hardworking and disciplined. It can be
called their national trait. No wonder, Tokyo, the capital of Japan,
which used to be a fishing village, has now turned into a metropolis.

think, Japan is a state which is certainly worth a visit as soon as
possible. To climb the mountain Fuji, to watch performances of the
theater kabuki, to admire beautiful costumes of geisha girls, to get
acquainted with the art of ikebana and origami — here is just a list of
several things you can manage to do traveling through the Land of
the Rising Sun.
