Activity Create a survey related to SeoulTech

Directions: Your group (from class today) will create a survey about issues related to SeoulTech. For the survey:
 Each person needs to make one question related to any issue related to SeoulTech (the questions should be in the
form of one of the questions on page 2 of this handout)
 Each person needs to let the other group members know their question because every person in the group will
create the same survey consisting of each other’s questions
 Next class, you will conduct your survey

Two types of survey questions

There are two main types of survey questions to use in your survey:

 Yes/No
 Limited Choice

Question: Do you think there are enough dorms on campus?

Yes/No
A: Yes, I do.
question example B: No, I don’t.

Question: Which of the following foods would like to be served most in the student
cafeterias?

Limited Choice A: Pizza

B: Fried chicken

C: Patbingsu
D: Other

NOTE: adding a superlative in limited choice questions restricts the survey-taker to choose only one of the options.

 In the example, served most is a superlative, so it forces the survey-taker to choose only one of the options.
