A PURPOSE

To ensure that all legal appointees of _________ receives sufficient and relevant
training.

B SCOPE

Setting minimum requirements regarding the training of the legal appointees.

C STANDARD

1. The Manager will ensure that all legal appointees will receive sufficient training from an
external service provider.

2. All the appointees will be trained to execute their responsibilities. The scope and duties
will be defined for every appointment.

3. It is of utter importance that the person being legally appointed has the necessary
training and knowledge to be able to carry out his/her responsibilities as required by their
legal appointment.

4. The following training shall be considered as minimum requirements:

o Safety officer SAMTRAC and other appropriate courses and Incident Investigation
o First Aiders – levels 1,2 or 3
o Fire Co-ordinator - FPA or Similar Training
o SHE Reps – She Rep course
o Supervisors – HIRA and Supervisors courses.

D RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager will be responsible to ensure that the requirements of this standard are
met.
