A PURPOSE

To determine the minimum requirements for training.

B SCOPE

Setting minimum requirements regarding induction training for new employees,


as well as the training to be given to employees..

C STANDARD

1. On the day of employment, an employee will be introduced to Scaffolding Site


Induction. The Safety Officer will do this training.

2. It is the responsibility of the Supervisor to ensure that all employees undergo the
necessary induction courses as per the client’s requirements

3. The Manager will be responsible for co-ordinating all Formal health and Safety
training courses.

4. All supervisory staff will undergo the Accident Incident Investigation and Hazard
Identification Risk Assessment course.

5. Training by external institutions and/or consultants may also be considered when


the available training does not cater for the specific need.

6. Office personnel will undergo Office administration courses available.

7. Personnel on site will receive suitable training on how to use the fire
extinguishers.

D RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibility for sending new employees to attend formal safety induction
training remains with Supervisors.
