1. Affirms how operative clauses start with a number and end in a semi-colon;
2. Requires operative clauses write what the United Nations committee will do and not give
reasons for why the action is taking place;
3. Expresses the value of using sub clauses to;
(i) Develop a plan with multiple steps
(a) Each sub clause should bring something new;
(b) Sub clauses should build on each other;
(c) Sub clauses bring important details and information to flesh the plan out;
(d) The clause needs to cover the idea completely;
(e) The idea cannot be divided between clauses;
4. Instructs resolution writers to only write a period (“.”) after the final clause of a resolution
which says “Decides to remain seized of the matter”;
