HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN LEARNING ENGLISH?
VATICANO

It is important for me to speak English, to understand the different places and

historical monuments of the Catholic religion when visiting the Vatican City as a
tourist. It also allows us to communicate with our guides and other people who
accompany us.

ESPAÑA
I have been learning English for a month, since Barcelona is a very touristic city and
by speaking English I have been able to get closer to these people and learn more
about their cultures

MEXICO
In Mexico it is important to speak English because of its border with the United
States, but it is not so essential to use it because it is a Latin American-speaking
country.

superheroes like Batman and Superman, it offers attractions for all
ages.
AS A GROUP, WRITE ABOUT THE REASONS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO
LEARN ENGLISH.

English is the language of international communication, commerce and finance. English is a

lingua franca in many corners of the planet and the official language of many
International Organizations such as the European Union, the United Nations or UNESCO.

In Colombia, English is associated with a better quality of life as a result of better

employability and, therefore, greater access to jobs that require more skills and are
better paid.
