Measures to Ease Global Warming

It is commonly concerned that active human activities are aggravating global

warming. There are two methods to ease global warming. The first measure to
refrain global warming is adopting renewable energy. Renewable energy including
solar power, wind power and hydro-electric power is environmentally friendly, which
does not emit greenhouse gases, whereas the combustion of fossil fuels releases a
massive amount of carbon dioxide which accelerates the process of global warming.
Hence, the government should adopt renewable energy to confine global warming.
Besides, another measure to alleviate global warming is large-scale afforestation.
Trees are well-known as natural carbon sinks which can absorb carbon dioxide from
the atmosphere by photosynthesis. In the long-term, the amount of carbon dioxide
in the atmosphere could be reduced. Thus, the government should implement
largescale afforestation to mitigate global warming. It is earnestly hoped that the
above
measures could be implemented, and global warming could be eased.
