Global warming has existed as one of the biggest threats to humanity.

Many people think that

global warming is caused by nature and there are no ways to prevent it from becoming hotter and
hotter when others believe that this problem is anthropogenic and it is preventable. In my
opinion, these are some causes and solutions for global warming.
On the one hand, before suggesting solutions to this problem, we need to understand what has
brought it. First, It is chiefly because of human activities. Humans have contributed heavily to
the emission of greenhouse gases through factories, construction, transportation, and cutting
down trees. Deforestation is one of the anthropogenic factors since trees consume carbon
dioxide, a greenhouse gas, and balance the proportion of gases in the atmosphere as well as
control the temperature of Earth. However, nature itself releases tons of greenhouse gases into
the atmosphere every day. Natural activities such as volcanic eruptions and the melting process
of permafrost released tons and tons of carbon dioxide. According to recent studies, every year
melting in permafrost releases 140 million tons of carbon dioxide as well as 5.3 million tons of
methane into the atmosphere.
On the other hand, there are several solutions to this problem. First, People should use renewable
energy such as wind energy or solar energy. When we use non-renewable energy, it releases a
huge amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Second, we need a new law system reform.
Governments should make the law stricter by giving heavier punishment such as life
imprisonment if they chop down trees illegally.
In conclusion, the problem of global warming is both anthropogenic and natural.
However, individual efforts facilitated and financed by governments across the world can help
us contain the increase in earth’s temperature to two degree-Celsius. Our inability to unite and
act against this menace will have a catastrophic impact.
