Aside from the data collected given by the
client’s data, I will ask the client what her
preferred types of food are, so that I can
facilitate her with her food intake. After which,
counsel the mother on which foods are
nutritious and which are unhealthy or restricted
for her and her baby. Then, suggest eating
good sized but significant meals. Analyze her
daily diet so that I can determine whether her
body is getting enough nutrients, which is
essential for fetal development. With this
information, I can monitor whether she is truly
getting the nutrients and the expected weight
gain during pregnancy
I will advise the client to always double-check
the expiration date of her medication. And if
she is prescribed more than one medication, I
will instruct her to always check the label and
dose of her medication before taking it, as well
as to avoid communication with others or, to
put it more simply, to avoid interruptions
because if you are interrupted by anyone or
anything and you have a lot of medication, you
might be taking the wrong medication. In
addition, I will instruct the client to contact the
prescribing doctor or nurse if she has any
questions or needs clarification about the
medication, as well as if she experiences any
discomfort after taking it. This will help you
determine if you have allergies to the
medication prescribed by the doctor, and the
doctor will be able to assess you further to
avoid complications.
