in the care of your pregnant client?

Answers
As a nursing student, one of my key tasks and
responsibilities is to assist expectant moms in
receiving health education so they may notice
and prevent health issues that could arise prior
to, during, or after delivery. Additionally,
nursing students' duties and roles in the care
of pregnant clients include constant
monitoring of the mother's and fetus' health,
offering emotional support, and instructing
the expectant mother and her family about the
physiological and psychological changes that
occur during pregnancy, the development of
the fetus, labor and delivery, and new born
care.
Aside from the information provided about
the client, I will also ask Maria for other
essential assessment information, such as
pallor, fatigue, a rapid heartbeat, and
shortness of breath, all of which are
indications of anemia that I must inform
Maria about and refer her to the doctor
immediately. Additionally, I will also ask her
if she experiences shortness of breath at the
end of her pregnancy as the growing baby
crowds her lungs. Although it is normal, I
also need to refer her if it causes the mother a
lot of pain or major discomfort. I will also ask
her about the signs of vaginal infection, which
include abnormal vaginal discharge, itchiness
or swelling of the external genitalia, and
burning or discomfort when urinating or
having sex. In these cases, the patient should
be seen by a doctor.

3) What special instructions will you
give to your client in taking the
prescribed medication?
The specific directions I will give to my client
for taking the prescribed medication are to
take it only once daily and will take it by oral
administration. I'll also say that although this
medication is merely a multivitamin, she will
benefit much from taking it, especially her
unborn child. I'll encourage her or significant
others to let me know right away if the patient
experiences any negative side effects so that I
may refer her right away.
