WEEK 3

DAILY REFLECTION 06/06/2023 (TUESDAY)

(ENGLISH 4 IKHLAS, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM / ENGLISH 4 BESTARI 01:00PM -
2:30 PM)
 Students need to speak up more during class presentations. To motivate them,
teachers should implement reinforcements such as giving reward in forms of
praising words or give students candies. By doing so, students will be more
motivated to answer questions, voice out opinions. I noticed that in the classroom
there are achievement charts, teachers can also reward them by giving them
stickers every time students perform well in examination or being interactive
during lessons.

DAILY REFLECTION 07/06/2023 (WEDNESDAY)

(ENGLISH 4 BESTARI, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

 Students can present well on the topic, but when it comes to answering questions
requiring higher order thinking skills (HOTS), they prefer to answer extremely
simply. Teachers should frequently pose HOTS questions to students to think and
practise how to extend their replies by providing sound reasoning for their answer
statement. Teachers may advise students on how to answer HOTS questions and
explain the response criteria, and students must practise improving their
answering style for their speaking test, since HOTS questions will be asked.

(PENDIDIKAN MORAL 3 BESTARI, 08:00 AM - 09:00 AM)

 Students were barely interacting as they are in their own bubble.Students were
passive during teaching and learning session, as a strategy to overcome this
problem, I decided to group them up and gave them group presentation about race
and culture related to the topic. Students got into their groups and start to discuss
among themselves.

DAILY REFLECTION 08/06/2023 (THURSDAY)

(ENGLISH 4 IKHLAS 08:30 AM - 10:30 AM / ENGLISH 4 BESTARI 01:00 PM -
02:30 PM)

 Technology difficulties in the classroom are inevitable; but, as educators, we must

be flexible and analytical enough to discover a method to overcome our
technological issues in the classroom. As an example, the projector in class had
an issue where the screen could not be projected, so I opted to change my
teaching materials and use the white board instead. For my slides, I turned the
material from the slides into a bubble map so that students could copy down the
notes. Furthermore, teachers should give students pop quizzes after the session to
verify students comprehend the content given, since pop quizzes may work as a
strengthening exercise for the students.

DAILY REFLECTION 09/06/2023 (FRIDAY)

(PENDIDIKAN MORAL 3 BESTARI, 08:00 AM - 09:00 AM)

 Presentation was postponed due to technical issues and there were some students
that did not prepare the materials for presentation. I gave them time and warn
them if they did not finish their task then they would have to go and see the
principle for their irresponsible actions. However, the moral lesson still
continued, where we learn from the textbook and did exercises in the workbook.
