The Princess Diaries is a dramatic and comedy movie about how a normal girl is a princess

on Genovia, with a focus on her change but not on any prince or romance.

The movie starts with Mia Thermopolis, a normal girl who goes to school and share time with
her mother and bestfriend, but one day her grandmother (mother of his dead father) call her
to make a reunion and told her that she is the queen of a small country on Europe, Genovia,
and she is the princess and the heir to the throne. Since that day, she started to change her
lifestyle to look more like a princess.

Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews worked together only two times, in this movie and the
sequel. That makes them create a really good relationship on-screen and out of it. The
chemistry between them helped with some scenes where they had to act like a real
grandmother and her granddaughter. The film shows some moments where teenagers have
to change and how they can feel about it.

In my opinion, The Princess Diaries is a movie that can catch you if you are looking for a
princess cliché but without the prince. It makes you laugh from the beginning and does not
disappoint anyone.
