Drivers : Some tips and precautions that drivers must observe : Follow Safe Driving Rules
• Get adequate sleep, exercise regularly and eat
1 your meals at a fixed time.
• If you feel sleepy while driving, pull over
2 immediately.
• Be more courteous and patient towards other
3 road users.
• Start your journey early to avoid last-minute
4 speeding
• Always adjust your speed to the road and
5 weather conditions.
• Watch out for other fatigued drivers and
6 their actions.
• See & be seen. Before you head out on the
road at night, ensure that your headlights,
7 taillights, signal lights are clean & working
• Be Alert on the road especially during the
8 afternoon, by the end of your duties.
• Observe all traffic signs, rules and
9 regulations
• If you feel sleepy before driving, take a
10 power nap and then start your journey.

Supervisors: Seek information, be updated by your direct Line Manager. Check Safety Alerts.
 Comply with PetroChina HFY Traffic Safety Requirement. Never drive if not Authorized.
 Check the IVMS (In-vehicle Monitoring System) is working on your vehicles.
 Line Supervisors shall cascade Traffic Safety information to their staff and Contractors.
 JMP – Journey Management Plans are required for Ad-Hoc road journey.
 User Departments shall instruct their Contractors / Sub-contractors for full compliance. Check PCH Specifications and
 MOC requirement - Bridges Restrictions for Heavy Trucks - Iraqi lows shall be followed ! I-OGP Traffic Safety rules
