What are some of the most critical health issues facing us in the 21st century and why?

Before we go into a more detailed analysis of the health problems of the modern era, I would like
to highlight the definition of health created by the World Health Organization, which reads as
follows: "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not just the
absence of disease and incapacity." . (Callahan, 1973, p. 77).
If we follow this definition, can we claim that there is currently a sufficient number of people on the
planet who, according to this definition, meet the conditions of health?
When stress is our faithful, everyday companion and while we are still recovering from the trauma
brought to us by the Covid-19 pandemic, there is no doubt that today's man is exposed to
enormous risks that impair his general health!
Due to increased stress as a harmful factor, along with poor nutrition, low physical activity, climate
changes, and a generally unhealthy lifestyle, the human population faces numerous health
problems. Some of the main health problems are :

 infection with the virus Covid-19,

 resistance to antibiotics caused by their excessive use,
 cardiovascular diseases,
 malignant diseases,
 sterility,
 obesity,
 mental disorders,
 and abuse of intoxicating substances, tobacco, and alcohol.

The unhealthy habits of the average person have led to more and more massive health problems,
which reduce our average life expectancy - which people consciously and voluntarily refuse to
change.
Incompetent and non-preventive methods of treatment have led to increasing resistance to the
most commonly used drugs, which complicates the already difficult therapeutic process of
treatment.
The only way for a person to meet the definition of health again and create optimal conditions for
functioning in his body is to introduce healthy lifestyle habits and avoid risk factors that harm his
health.
