Writing an article: Articles gives information about a certain topic and can also be used to persuade the reader

that
a certain viewpoint is correct. However, they often provide a balanced argument which lets the reader make up
their own mind about the topic. Articles have NO SUBHEADINGS. In an article you should provide both opinions
(FOR AND AGAINST) and support both opinions with persuasive devices. In the conclusion provide A BALANCED
OPINION AND LET THE READER MAKE UP THEIR MIND.

Title (could be a rhetorical question)

• Introduction Outline the main point of the article. Engage the reader to make them interested in the
article. Use the persuasive devices namely rhetorical questions.

• Opinion 1 Agree with the viewpoint expressed in the statement. Back up your ideas with evidence
and with persuasive language features.

• Opinion 2 now disagree/agree with the viewpoint expressed in the statement. Back up your ideas
with evidence and with persuasive language feature.

• Conclusion Here you should summaries what you have said and state your point of view (it could be
for/against or a balanced opinion), also you should ask readers make up their own
minds for the future.

IT IS BETTER TO INCLUDE A BALANCED OPINION AND LET THE READER MAKE UP THEIR
MIND.
