What skills you need to gain to be a competitive applicant for electrical engineers

An electrical engineers’ profession involves developing, testing, designing and supervising the
manufacturing of electrical devices and equipment’s.

1.Problem solving- we are required to think logically and apply a particular rule or concept to a
problem in order to solve it.

2.Basic circuit knowledge- electrical designs contains large installations and highly advanced pieces
of hardware.

3.Communication- communication skills is important in engineering as understanding the need and


requirements of a client, working in a project with a team or a departments.

4.Organisation- The ability to organize and manage the time is important such as some work will be
based on time.

5.Creative thinking- to be able to explore and implement radical ideas we need to think out of the
box.

6.Critical thinking- The ability to approach things differently or take a different view in certain
projects or work.

7.Numeracy-Make sure of having a good mathematical background

8.Electronic troubleshooting- it is a must-have skill as it involves fault establishments, locating and


correction through the use of measuring.

9.Programing- this is also important of knowing coding as working with systems or analyzing data

10.Leadership- having good project management skill and the ability to lead a team.
