Qur'an (4:89) - "They wish that you reject Faith, as they've rejected (Faith), and thus that you

all become
equal (like one another). So take not Auliya' (protectors or friends) from them, till they emigrate in the
Way of Allah (to Muhammad). But if they turn back (from Islam), take (hold) of them and kill them
wherever you find them, and take neither Auliya' (protectors or friends) nor helpers from them." Verse
4:65 sayst hat those who have faith are in "full submission" to Muhammad's teachings. This verse
explains what should happen to Muslims who don't "have faith" and (along with verse 4:90-91) don't
agree to banishment and subjugation.

What the Qur'an Says: (4:89-90) - "They wish that you reject Faith, as they've rejected (Faith, and thus
that you all become equal. So take not Auliya' (protectors or friends) from them, till they emigrate in
the Way of Allah. But if they turn back (from Islam), take (hold) of them and kill them wherver you
find them, and take neither Auliya' (protectors or friends) nor helpers from them. Except those who
join a group, between you and whom there's a treaty (of peace), or those who approach you with their
beasts restraining from fighting you as well as fihting their own people. Had Allah willed, indeed He
would've given them power over you, and they would've fought you. So if hey withdraw from you, and
fight no against you, and offer you peace, then Allah has opened no way for you against them."

What the Apologists Want You to Believe: That the verse 4:89 only applies to those who're fighting
Muslims. Therefore the verse's about self-defense, rather than targeting people because of their faith -
or lack thereof

How They Do It: 'Adding' to the Qur'an: If you pay no attention to verse 4:89 and hold you hand over
most of verse 4:90 until you get to the part about "if they withdraw and fight not against you, and offer
peace..." then, yeah,... it does kind of read that way.

How They Do It: Citing Contemporary Apologists and Weak Hadiths: There's a 20th century scholar who
tells us that there are "six different conjectures" which he "need not puzzle the reader with." He also
reassures us of other contemporary scholars who concur with the assessmen that "if any people offered
peace, there aren't to be fought against."

How They Do It: Sleight of Hand: Critics say that this verse means to kill all non-Muslims. This' a Straw-
Man argument, since critics don't actually say this. What they point out is that the verse's taken to mean
that apostates - those who "turn back" from Islam - are to be killed.

How They Do It: Ignoring Reliable Sources: The part of Islamic law which calls for killing apostates' based
in part on verse 4:89, meaning that centuries of Muslim scholars, who devoted their lives to studying
Islam, somehow missed what 20th and 21st century apoologists recently 'discovered'. This may be
because Muhammad really did say to kill anyone who leaves their Islamic religion - as recorded in many
Sahih Hadith verses [Sahih Al-Bukhari 657, 3017, 6899, 6878, 6922, 6923, 6930, 6931, 7157. Sunan Ibn
Majah 795. Sunan Abu Dawud 4359. Muwatta Imam Malik 36.15. Reliance of the Traveler (Islamic Law)
o8.1.]. Also, according to Ibn Kathir (Tafsir), here are two Sahih Hadiths which say that the verse was a
responsee to an incident in which Muslims wanted to kill two former Muslims who were in no way
threatening them. This caused a dispute as to whether apostasy was grounds for killing - which verse
4:89 then sanctions.
Why They're Wrong: Neither the textual or historical context supports the interpretation that verse 4:89
pertains only to those who're attacking Muslims and has nothing to do with religious faith. In fact, the
people to whom it refers weren't attacking Muslims, but wanting not to be attacked themselves (Tafsir
Ibn Kathir on 4:89]. The verse says to "seize them and kill them wherever you find them." According to
the reading, it plainly refers to those who "reject faith" and "turn back." This' obviously speaking of
relgiious faith, thus making conscience a capital crime in the Islamic worldview. The prevailing view
seems to be that the 'hypocrites' referred to are the [former] Muslims who remained at Mecca and
didn't emigrate as Muhammad demanded. This' even referred to within the verse. They weren't harming
Muslims (nor do the verses say hey were), but were accused of reverting to polytheism after saying they
were Muslim. Verse 4:91 suggests that they were simply trying to get along with everyone and not take
sides. Even verse 4:89 say that they wanted "equality" between groups, which Muhammad rejected. The
exceptions in verse 4:91 do appear to mitigate the mandate to kill in those cases in which the 'apostate'
agrees to subjugation and banishment (the word for 'withdrawal' shares the same root as verse 26:12). If
they don't withdraw, they should be killed. The Sharia says this' justified if the subject makes his/her
unbelief known and refuses to repent. There's no feasible reason for verse 4:89 other than to make
lawful the blood of the 'hypocrites' on the basis of their beliefs. The verse's near the mid-point of the
Qur'an's epic pivot from earlier verses which are tolerant of other religions (verse 109:6) to the later
ones hat call for harsh treament of unbelievers and hypocrites alike. By the time Muhammad took
Mecca, he required that all residents convert, leave, or be killed.

Qur'an (9:11-12) - "But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your
brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge. And if they break their
pledges after their treaty (hath been mad ewith you) and assail your religion, then fight the head of
disbelief - Lo! They have no binding oahs - in order that they may desist". In conjunction with the
preceding passage, this confirms that Muhammad is speaking of conversion to Islam.

Qur'an (2:217) - "They ask you concerning fighting in the Sacred Months (i.e. 1st, 7th, 11th and 12th
months of the Islamic calendar). Say, "Fighting therein is a great (transgression) but a greater
(transgression) with Allah is to prevent mankind from following the Way of Allah, to disbelieve in Him, to
prevent access to Al-Masjid-Al-Haram (at Makkah), and to drive out its inhabitants, and Al-Fitnah's worse
than killing. And they'll never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islamic
Monotheism) if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever,
then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter, and they'll be the dwellers of the Fire. They'll
abide therein forever."

Qur'an (9:73-74) - "O Prophet (Muhammad)! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and
be harsh against them, their abode's Hell, - and worst indeed is that destination. They swear by Allah
that they said nothing (bad), but really they said the word of disbelief, and they disbelieved after
accepting Islam, and they resolved that (plot to murder Prophet Muhammad) which they were unable to
carry out, and they couldn't find any cause to do so except that Allah and His Messenger had enriched
them of His Bounty. If then they repent, it'll be better for them, but if they turn away, Allah will punish
them with a painful torment in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. And there's none for them on earth
as a Wali (supporter, protector) or a helper."
Qur'an (88:21) - "So remind them (O Muhammad ), you're only a one who reminds."

Qur'an (5:54) - "O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah
will bring a people whom He'll love and they'll love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards
the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allah, and never afraid of the blame of the blamers. That's the
Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah's All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs,
All-Knower."

Qur'an (9:66) " Make no excuse; you've disbelieved after you had believed. If We pardon some of you,
We'll punish others amongst you because they were Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners,
criminals, etc.)."

Qur'an (33:50) - "O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their
dowers; and those (slaves) whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has
assigned to thee" This is one of several personal-sounding verses "from Allah" narrated by Muhammad -
in this case allowing a virtually unlimited supply of sex partners. Other Muslims are restricted to four
wives, but they may also have sex with any number of slaves, following the example of their prophet.

Qur'an (23:5-6) - "..who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or
(the captives) whom their right hands possess..." This verse permits the slave-owner to have sex with his
slaves [Qur'an 70:29-30: And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts from illegal sexual acts) .
Except with their wives and the (women slaves and captives) whom their right hands possess, for (then)
they are not to be blamed] The Qur'an is a small book, so if Allah used valuable space to repeat the same
point four times, sex slavery must be very important to him. He was relatively reticent on matters of
human compassion and love.

Qur'an (4:24) - "And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right
hands possess." Even sex with married slaves is permissible.

Qur'an (8:69) - "But (now) enjoy what ye took in war, lawful and good" A reference to war booty, of
which slaves were a part. The Muslim slave master may enjoy his "catch" because (according to verse 71)
"Allah gave you mastery over them."

Qur'an (24:32) - "And marry those among you who are single and those who are fit among your male
slaves and your female slaves..." Breeding slaves based on fitness.

Qur'an (2:178) - "O ye who believe! Retaliation is prescribed for you in the matter of the murdered; the
freeman for the freeman, and the slave for the slave, and the female for the female." The message of
this verse, which prescribes the rules of retaliation for murder, is that all humans are not created equal.
The human value of a slave is less than that of a free person (and a woman's worth is also distinguished
from that of a man).

Qur'an (16:75) - "Allah sets forth the Parable (of two men: one) a slave under the dominion of another;
He has no power of any sort; and (the other) a man on whom We have bestowed goodly favours from
Ourselves, and he spends thereof (freely), privately and publicly: are the two equal? (By no means;)
praise be to Allah.' Yet another confirmation that the slave is is not equal to the master. In this case, it is
plain that the slave owes his status to Allah's will. (According to 16:71 [Qur'an 16:71: And Allah has
preferred some of you above others in wealth and properties. Then, those who are preferred will by no
means hand over their wealth and properties to those (slaves) whom their right hands possess, so that
they may be equal with them in respect thereof . Do they then deny the Favour of Allah?], the owner
should be careful about insulting Allah by bestowing Allah's gifts on slaves - those whom the god of Islam
has not favored).

Qur'an (38:39) - “Say to those who have disbelieved, if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be
forgiven... And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others
besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if
they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.”
Translation from the Noble Qur'an

Qur'an (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which
hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they
are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves
subdued." Suras 9 and 5 are the last major chapters that Muhammad narrated - hence abrogating what
came before, including the oft-quoted verse 2:256 -"There is no compulsion in religion...".

Qur'an (9:5) "But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find
them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they
repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them..." This is
one of the verses that abrogates 2:256, since prayer and charity are among the Five Pillars of Islam, as
salat and zakat (see below). Some say that the textual context limits the application of this verse to non-
Muslims in Arabia at the time of narration. While there is some merit to this, it does not change the fact
that the Qur'an is sanctioning violence as a means of coercing religion.

Qur'an (9:56-57) - "And they swear by Allah that they are most surely of you, and they are not of you,
but they are a people who are afraid (of you). If they could find a refuge or cave or a place to enter into,
they would certainly have turned thereto, running away in all haste." This refers to people living with the
Muslim tribe who may not be true believers, but must pretend to be in order to survive. They have no
safe refuge to escape the Muslims. If Islam were a religion of peace, then why the fear?

Qur'an (2:193) - "And fight them until fitna is no more, and religion be only for Allah. But if they desist,
then let there be no hostility except against wrong-doers." The key phrase here is to fight until "religion
be only for Allah."

Qur'an (3:83) - "Are they seeking a religion other than Allah's, when every soul in the heavens and the
earth has submitted to Him, willingly or by compulsion?" But didn't the earlier verse [2:256] state that
there is "no compulsion in religion"? This contradiction is resolved by abrogation - where the later verse
supersedes the earlier one.

Quran (33:36) - "It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah
and His Messenger to have any option about their decision."

Quran (18:26) - "Allah... makes none to share in His Decision and His Rule"

Quran (45:21) - "What! Do those who seek after evil ways think that We shall hold them equal with
those who believe and do righteous deeds,- that equal will be their life and their death? Ill is the
judgment that they make." Unbelievers are not equal to Muslims. This is dutifully reflected in Islamic law.

Quran (5:44) - "Whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed is among the disbelievers." A
government run by "true" Muslims is a theocracy. Anything less, including democracy or secularism, is a
sign of apostasy. This is why terrorists feel justified in their fight for an Islamic state.

Quran (39:9) - "Are those who know equal to those who know not?"

Quran (4:141) - "...And never will Allah grant to the unbelievers a way (to triumphs) over the believers."
This is at odds with democracy, which allows anyone to serve in a position of power over others
regardless of religious belief.

Quran (63:8) - "...might (power) belongs to Allah and to His messenger and to the believers;" ie. not to
anyone else.

Quran (5:49) - "So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires,
but beware of them lest they seduce thee from some part of that which Allah hath revealed unto thee"
Allah's Quran has priority over the desires of the people. A democratic nation is by nature one that is not
governed by Islamic law, meaning that a Muslim citizen would have divided loyalty. It's clear from this
verse which side he must choose.

Quran (12:40) - "...Allah hath sent down no authority: the command is for none but Allah..." Sometimes
translated as "None have the right to legislate except Allah."

Quran (4:123) - "Not your desires, nor those of the People of the Book (can prevail): whoever works evil,
will be requited accordingly. Nor will he find, besides Allah, any protector or helper."

Quran (4:59) - "O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority from
among you..." Obedience is strictly limited to a government drawn from believers, not from the broader
community. This verse has also been used to justify submission to autocratic rule, however oppressive it
may by. As an Arab tradition puts it: "tyranny is better than anarchy."

Quran (9:3) - "...Allah and his messenger are free from obligation to the unbelievers..." Muhammad used
this "revelation" to dissolve a standing treaty and chase non-Muslims from their homes if they would not
accept Islam. This practice is incompatible with democratic rule, in which everyone is has equal standing.

Quran (7:80-84) - "...For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people
transgressing beyond bounds.... And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)" - An account
that is borrowed from the Biblical story of Sodom. Muslim scholars through the centuries have
interpreted the "rain of stones" on the town as meaning that homosexuals should be stoned, since no
other reason is given for the people's destruction.

Quran (7:81) - "Will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you?" This verse is part
of the previous text establishing that homosexuality as different from (and much worse than) adultery or
other sexual sin. According to the Arabic grammar, homosexuality is called the worst sin, while
references elsewhere describe other forms of non-marital sex as being "among great sins."

Quran (26:165-166) - "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, "And leave those whom
Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing"

Quran (4:16) - "If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and
amend, Leave them alone" This is the Yusuf Ali translation. The original Arabic does not use the word
"men" and simply says "two from among you." Yusuf Ali may have added the word "men" because the
verse seems to refer to a different set than referred to in the prior verse (explicitly denoted as "your
women"). In other words, since 4:15 refers to "your women", 4:16 is presumably written to and refers to
men.

Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to
make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their
feet should be cut off on opposite sides..."

Quran (8:12) - "Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness
to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and
smite all their fingertips off them."

Quran (48:29) - "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the
disbelievers and merciful among themselves"

Quran (24:2) - "The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a
hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you." Not only is physical torture prescribed as punishment
for moral crime between consenting adults, but believers are told to suppress their natural urge for
human compassion.

Quran (22:19-22) - "These twain (the believers and the disbelievers) are two opponents who contend
concerning their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling
fluid will be poured down on their heads. Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will
be melted; And for them are hooked rods of iron. Whenever, in their anguish, they would go forth from
thence they are driven back therein and (it is said unto them): Taste the doom of burning." The
punishment of those who merely disbelieve in Muhammad's claims about himself is described as being
horrifically brutal in many other places as well, such as Quran 4:56, which says that they will face a
continuous cycle of torture in which their skin will be burned off only to be replaced by new skin. How
Allah feels about non-Muslims naturally determines the attitude of devout Muslims. In the Quran,
Muhammad explicitly uses Allah's hatred of unbelievers to motivate his people to Jihad:

Quran (9:73): "O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites! Be harsh with them. Their
ultimate abode is hell, a hapless journey's end."

Stoning is not prescribed in the current version of the Quran. According to Muhammad's companions, a
verse that did exist at one time ordering that adulterers be stoned, but it was forgotten.

Quran (33:59) - "O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw
their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known so as not to be
annoyed." This is from the Noble Quran. The word 'annoyed' is yu'dhayna, which actually means
'harmed' or 'hurt' elsewhere in the same sura. How would a woman be 'harmed' for not covering
herself? Let's just say that Yusuf Ali translates it as 'molested' - as in a woman could bring sexual abuse
on herself if she is not properly covered.

Quran (24:31) - "And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private
parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof, and let them wear their head-
coverings over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments except to their husbands or their fathers,
or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or their
brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or those whom their right hands possess, or the
male servants not having need (of women), or the children who have not attained knowledge of what is
hidden of women; and let them not strike their feet so that what they hide of their ornaments may be
known." The woman is not only supposed to cover herself, except with relatives, but to look down, so as
to avoid making eye-contact with men.

Quran (33:55) - "It shall be no crime in them as to their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their
brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or their woman, or the slaves which their right hands possess, if
they speak to them unveiled" A woman may present herself without a veil only to family and slaves.

The most reliable Hadith collection contain numerous accounts of Muhammad and his companions
putting people to death for leaving Islam. [According to verse 4:80 of the Qur'an: "Those who obey the
Messenger obey Allah."]

Sahih Al-Bukhari 3017: "...The Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6899: "Allah's Apostle never killed anyone except in one of the following three
situations: (1) A person who killed somebody unjustly, was killed (in Qisas,) (2) a married person who
committed illegal sexual intercourse and (3) a man who fought against Allah and His Apostle and
deserted Islam and became an apostate."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6878: "Allah's Apostle said, "The blood of a Muslim who confesses that none has the
right to be worshipped but Allah and that I'm His Apostle, can't be shed except in three cases: In Qisas
for murder, a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse and the one who reverts from Islam
(apostate) and leaves the Muslims."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6922: [In the words of] "Allah's Apostle, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill
him.'"

Sahih Al-Bukhari 7157: A man who embraces Islam, then reverts to Judaism's to be killed according to
"the verdict of Allah and His apostle."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6923: "There was a fettered man beside Abu Muisa. Mu'adh asked, 'Who is this (man)?'
Abu Muisa said, 'He was a Jew and became a Muslim and then reverted back to Judaism.' Then Abu
Muisa requested Mu'adh to sit down but Mu'adh said, 'I will not sit down till he has been killed. This is
the judgment of Allah and His Apostle (for such cases) and repeated it thrice.' Then Abu Musa ordered
that the man be killed, and he was killed. Abu Musa added, 'Then we discussed the night prayers'"

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6930-6931: "Allah's Apostle: 'During the last days there will appear some young foolish
people who will say the best words but their faith will not go beyond their throats (i.e. they will have no
faith) and will go out from (leave) their religion as an arrow goes out of the game. So, wherever you find
them, kill them, for whoever kills them shall have reward on the Day of Resurrection.'" This verse from
the Hadith is worse than it appears because it isn't speaking solely of apostates, but those who say they
believe but don't put their religion into practice.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 657: "The Prophet said, 'No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the
'Isha' prayers and if they knew the reward for these prayers at their respective times, they would
certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they had to crawl.' The Prophet added, 'Certainly I
decided to order the Mu'adh-dhin (call-maker) to pronounce Iqama and order a man to lead the prayer
and then take a fire flame to burn all those who hadn't left their houses so far for the prayer along with
their houses'."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 2415: Muhammad establishes that slaves are property. They cannot be freed if an
owner has outstanding debt, but they can be used to pay off the debt.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 5210: An account of women taken as slaves in battle by Muhammad's men after their
husbands and fathers were killed. The woman were raped with Muhammad's approval.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 2229: Another account of females taken captive and raped with Muhammad's approval.
In this case it is evident that the Muslims intend on selling the women after raping them because they
are concerned about devaluing their price by impregnating them. Muhammad is asked about coitus
interruptus.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 2592: A woman is rebuked by Muhammad for freeing a slave girl. The prophet tells her
that she would have gotten a greater heavenly reward by giving her to a relative (as a slave).

Sahih Al-Bukhari 2141: Muhammad sells a slave for money. He was thus a slave trader.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 4913: Some contemporary Muslims in the West (where slavery is believed to be a
horrible crime) are reluctant to believe that Muhammad owned slaves. This is just one of many places in
the Hadith where a reference is made to a human being owned by Muhammad.
Sahih Al-Bukhari 3011: To discourage emancipation, Muhammad says that the slave who accepts Islam
and continues serving his Muslim master will receive a double reward in heaven. This is better than
freedom for both parties, as the master benefits from slave-labor free of consequence, and the slave has
the promise of eternal reward over the temporal.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6161: Muhammad had an African slave acting as his chauffeur.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 7263: Muhammad had an African slave acting as his butler.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 3113: Aisha learns that Muhammad has acquired slave girls as "booty" and asks for one
as a maid.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 5433: Muhammad kept as slave to act as his tailor.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 987-988: "I was watching the display of black slaves in the mosque..."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 2569: Muhammad's own pulpit - from which he preached Islam - was built with slave
labor on his command.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 4350: "The Prophet sent Ali to Khalid to bring the Khumus (of the booty) and I hated Ali,
and Ali had taken a bath (after a sexual act with a slave-girl from the Khumus). I said to Khalid, 'Don't you
see this (i.e. Ali)?' When we reached the Prophet I mentioned that to him. He said, 'O Buraida! Do you
hate Ali?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Do you hate him, for he deserves more than that from the Khumlus.'"
Muhammad approved of his men having sex with slaves, as this episode involving his son-in-law, Ali,
clearly proves. This hadith refutes the modern apologists who pretend that slaves were really "wives."
This is because Muhammad had forbidden Ali from marrying another woman as long as Fatima (his
favorite daughter) was living.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6924-6925: "Allah's Apostle said, 'I have been ordered to fight the people till they say:
'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla
and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not
interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah.'"

Sahih Al-Bukharai 3167: "While we were in the Mosque, the Prophet came out and said, "Let us go to the
Jews" We went out till we reached Bait-ul-Midras. He said to them, "If you embrace Islam, you will be
safe. You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle, and I want to expel you from this
land. So, if anyone amongst you owns some property, he is permitted to sell it, otherwise you should
know that the Earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 25: "Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people
until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's
Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then
they save their lives and property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts)
will be done by Allah."
Sahih Al-Bukhari 4557: The Verse:--'You (true Muslims) are the best of peoples ever raised up for
mankind.' means, the best of peoples for the people, as you bring them with chains on their necks till
they embrace Islam."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 4513-4515: "...:And fight them till there is no more affliction (i.e. no more worshiping of
others along with Allah)." 'Affliction' of Muslims is defined here as a condition in which others worship a
different god other than Allah. Muslims are commanded to use violence to 'rectify' the situation.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 4357: "Testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, or else I will chop
off your neck!" Words of a military leader who Muhammad sent on an expedition with the mission of
destroying a local religion in Yemen.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 3159-3160: The command for Muslims to spread Islamic rule by force, subjugating
others until they either convert to Islam or pay money, is eternal: Our Prophet, the Messenger of our
Lord, has ordered us to fight you till you worship Allah Alone or give Jizya (i.e. tribute); and our Prophet
has informed us that our Lord says:-- "Whoever amongst us is killed (i.e. martyred), shall go to Paradise
to lead such a luxurious life as he has never seen, and whoever amongst us remain alive, shall become
your master." This is being recounted during the reign of Umar, Muhammad's companion and the second
caliph, who sent conquering armies into non-Muslim Persian and Christian lands (after Muhammad's
death).

Sahih Al-Bukhari 2338: "When Allah's Messenger had conquered Khaibar, he wanted to expel the Jews
from it as its land became the property of Allah, His Apostle, and the Muslims. Allah's Messenger
intended to expel the Jews but they requested him to let them stay there on the condition that they
would do the labor and get half of the fruits. Allah's Messenger told them, "We will let you stay on thus
condition, as long as we wish." So, they (i.e. Jews) kept on living there until `Umar forced them [out]."
The Khaybar were a peacful farming community that were attacked by surprise and and conquered. The
Jizya in this case was set at half of the non-Muslim's earnings.

Sahih Al-Bukharai 4425: "Never will succeed such a nation as makes a woman their ruler."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 7137: Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever obeys me, obeys Allah, and whoever disobeys me,
disobeys Allah, and whoever obeys the ruler I appoint, obeys me, and whoever disobeys him, disobeys
me." The ruler referred to here is the Caliph, who is appointed by Allah, not by popular election.
Democratic rule has no legitimacy against the will of the Caliph who, as we see by chain of reference, has
the authority of Allah.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 5886: "The Prophet cursed effeminate men (those men who are in the similitude
(assume the manners of women) and those women who assume the manners of men, and he said, 'Turn
them out of your houses .' The Prophet turned out such-and-such man, and 'Umar turned out such-and-
such woman."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 3018: "[Muhammad] had their hands and feet cut off. Then he ordered for nails which
were heated and passed over their eyes, and whey were left in the Harra (i.e. rocky land in Medina).
They asked for water, and nobody provided them with water till they died." Muhammad had two killers
put to death, not in the way of "an eye-for-an-eye," but in a more agonizing manner.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 233: "They were caught and brought to him (the Holy Prophet). He commanded about
them, and (thus) hands and feet were cut off and their eyes were gouged and then they were thrown in
the sun, until they died."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 4556: Two people guilty of illegal intercourse are brought to Muhammad, who orders
them both stoned to death. Apparently their act was out of love, since the verse records the man as
trying to shield the woman from the stones.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6899: Adultery is one of three justifications for killing a person, according to
Muhammad.

Sahih Muslim 1438a: Muhammad and his men take captive "some excellent Arab women" from the Banu
Mustaliq. Their dilemma then becomes that they want to rape the women, but they also want to
'ransom' them, knowing that their captives will be of less value if pregnant. When they ask Muhammad
about coitus interruptus, their prophet tells them that it doesn't matter how they rape the women
because "every soul will be born" anyway.

Sahih Muslim 1602: Muhammad trades away two African slaves for one Muslim slave.

Sahih Muslim: 1755: Narration of a military raid against a hapless tribe trying to reach their water hole.
During the slaughter, the women and children attempt to flee, but are cut off and captured by the
Muslims. This story refutes any misconception that Muhammad's sex slaves were taken by their own
volition.

Sahih Muslim 1668a: A man freed six slaves on the event of his death, but Muhammad reversed the
emancipation and kept four in slavery to himself. He cast lots to determine which two to free.

Sahih Muslim 1456a: Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah her pleased with him) reported that at the Battle of
Hanain Allah's Messenger (pbuh) sent an army to Autas and encountered the enemy and fought with
them. Having overcome them and taken them captives, the Companions of Allah's Messenger (may
peace te upon him) seemed to refrain from having intercourse with captive women because of their
husbands being polytheists. Then Allah, Most High, sent down regarding that: "And women already
married, except those whom your right hands possess (iv. 24)" (i. e. they were lawful for them when
their 'Idda period came to an end).

Sahih Muslim 22: The Messenger of Allah said: "I have been commanded to fight against people till they
testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish
prayer and pay zakat." To be safe, people must profess faith in Allah (the shahada) and follow Islamic
practices (the zakat and salat). Violence is thus sanctioned until the victims embrace Muhammad's
religion and become obedient, practicing Muslims.

Sahih Muslim 1731a, b: "When you meet your enemies who are polytheists (which includes Christians),
invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these, you also accept it and
withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you,
accept it from them and desist from fighting against them ... If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from
them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay
the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them" Osama bin Laden echoes this order from his prophet: "Does
Islam, or does it not, force people by the power of the sword to submit to its authority corporeally if not
spiritually? Yes. There are only three choices in Islam … . Either submit, or live under the suzerainty of
Islam, or die.” (The Al-Qaeda Reader, p. 19-20 — https://www.amazon.com/dp/038551655X?

RQC27D&]. Non-Muslims are intended to be subordinate to Muslims.

Sahih Muslim 21a: "I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that
there is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was guaranteed the protection of his property and life
on my behalf except for the right affairs rest with Allah.'s The "protection" needed by the unbeliever is
from Muhammad himself. In other words, the jizya is paid by the non-Muslim in exchange for not being
killed.

Sahih Muslim 1671b: "They were caught and brought to him (the Holy Prophet). He commanded about
them, and (thus) hands and feet were cut off and their eyes were gouged and then they were thrown in
the sun, until they died."

Sahih Muslim 1671c: A married man confesses that he has adultery (four times, as required).
Muhammad orders him planted in the ground and pelted with stones. According to the passage, the first
several stones caused such pain that he tried to escape and was dragged back.

Sahih Muslim 1690c: This hadith clarifies the different penalties for adultery (when the subjects are
married), and fornication (when they are not): "in case of married (persons) there is (a punishment) of
one hundred lashes and then stoning (to death). And in case of unmarried persons, (the punishment) is
one hundred lashes and exile for one year"

Sahih Muslim 1690a: 'Ubada b. as-Samit reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as
saying: Receive (teaching) from me, receive (teaching) from me. Allah has ordained a way for those
(women). When an unmarried male commits adultery with an unmarried female (they should receive)
one hundred lashes and banishment for one year. And in case of married male committing adultery with
a married female, they shall receive one hundred lashes and be stoned to death.

Sahih Muslim 1695b: A woman who became pregnant confesses to Muhammad that she is guilty of
adultery. Muhammad allows her to have the child, then has her stoned. The description is graphic:
"Khalid b Walid came forward with a stone which he flung at her head and there spurted blood on the
face of Khalid and so he abused her."

Sahih Muslim 1697/1689a: A woman confesses adultery and is stoned to death on Muhammad's order.

Sunan Ibn Majah 795: "Let men desist from failing to attend the congregation, otherwise I will burn their
houses down"

Sunan Abu Dawud 4359: "Was not there a wise man among you who would stand up to him when he
saw that I had withheld my hand from accepting his allegiance, and kill him?" Muhammad is chastising
his companions for allowing an apostate to "repent" under duress. (The person in question was
Muhammad's former scribe, who left him after doubting the authenticity of divine "revelations" - upon
finding out that grammatical changes could be made. He was brought back to Muhammad after having
been captured in Medina).

Sunan Abu Dawud 2155: "The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) sent a military expedition to
Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They
defeated them and took them captives. Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah (may peace be
upon him) were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands
who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur’anic verse: (Qur'an 4:24) 'And all
married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hands possess.'" This is
the background for verse 4:24 of the Qur'an. Not only does Allah give permission for women to be
captured and raped, but allows it to even be done in front of their husbands.

Sunan Abu Dawud 1818: "...[Abu Bakr] He then began to beat [his slave] him while the Apostle of Allah
(pbuh) was smiling and saying: Look at this man who is in the sacred state (putting on ihram), what is he
doing?" The future first caliph of Islam is beating his slave for losing a camel while Muhammad looks on
in apparent amusement.

Sunan Abu Dawud 4473: Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib: “A slave-girl belonging to the house of the Apostle of
Allah (peace_be_upon_him) committed fornication. He (the Prophet) said: Rush up, Ali, and inflict the
prescribed punishment on her. I then hurried up, and saw that blood was flowing from her, and did not
stop. So I came to him and he said: Have you finished inflicting (punishment on her)? I said: I went to her
while her blood was flowing. He said: Leave her alone till her bleeding stops; then inflict the prescribed
punishment on her. And inflict the prescribed punishment on those whom your right hands possess (i.e.
slaves)”. A slave girl is ordered by Muhammad to be beaten until she bleeds, and then beaten again after
the bleeding stops. He indicates that this is prescribed treatment for slaves ("those whom your right
hand possesses").

Sunan Abu Dawud 142: "Do not beat your wife as you beat your slave-girl"

Sunan Abu Dawud 3006: An authentic verse narrating more of the story of Khaybar. Muhammad took
what was theirs, including their wives and children. He even had some of the men killed afterwards,
once he had found their wealth.

Sunan Abu Dawud 4462: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,
"Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot, execute the one who does it and the one to
whom it is done." (This is a sahih hadith)

Sunan Abu Dawud 4463: "If a man who is not married is seized committing sodomy, he will be stoned to
death."

Sunan Abu Dawud 4464: The Prophet (PBUH) said: If anyone has sexual intercourse with an animal, kill
him and kill it along with him. I (Ikrimah) said: I asked him (Ibn Abbas): What offence can be attributed to
the animal/ He replied: I think he (the Prophet) disapproved of its flesh being eaten when such a thing
had been done to it.

Sunan Abu Dawud 495: In addition to the right of men to beat their wives over disobedience, children
are to be beaten as well if they don't pray. "The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Command a boy to
pray when he reaches the age of seven years. When he becomes ten years old, then beat him for
prayer." (Incidentally, this is still taught)

Sunan Abu Dawud 4477: Muhammad orders that a man be beaten with "whips, sticks and sandals"
merely for being drunk. He threw dust into the face of the victim during his ordeal. "A man who had
drunk wine was brought (before him) and he ordered them (to beat him). So they beat him with what
they had in their hands. Some struck him with whips, some with sticks and some with sandals. The
Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) threw some dust on his face."

Muwatta Imam Malik Book 36, Hadith 15: "The Messenger of Allah said, "If someone changes his religion
- then strike off his head."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Al-Sirah Al-Nabawiyyah (Ibn Ishaq) 734: A slave girl is given a "violent beating" by Ali in the presence of
Muhammad, who does nothing about it. When Muhammad’s favorite wife Aisha was accused of
adultery, he launched an investigation that included the brutal interrogation of a female slave: "So the
apostle called Burayra to ask her, and Ali got up and gave her a violent beating, saying “'Tell the Apostle
the truth.'”

Al-Sirah Al-Nabawiyyah (Ibn Ishaq) 693: "Then the apostle sent Sa-d b. Zayd al-Ansari, brother of Abdu'l-
Ashal with some of the captive women of Banu Qurayza to Najd and he sold them for horses and
weapons." Muhammad trades away women captured from the Banu Qurayza tribe to non-Muslim slave
traders for property. (Their men had been executed after surrendering peacefully without a fight).

Al-Sirah Al-Nabawiyyah (Ibn Ishaq) 956 and 962: "He who withholds the Jizya is an enemy of Allah and
His apostle." The words of Muhammad.

Al-Sirah Al-Nabawiyyah (Ibn Ishaq) 436: When Muhammad wished to attack the Meccan army at Badr,
his men captured two slaves who were carrying water for the caravans and brought them into his
presence. They were interrogated under torture as Muhammad stood praying: “…they brought them
along and questioned them while the apostle was standing praying… The people were dismayed at their
report…and so they beat them. When they were beaten soundly…"

Al-Sirah Al-Nabawiyyah (Ibn Ishaq) 764: After amassing a powerful army, Muhammad sent his forces to
take the peaceful farming community of Khaybar by surprise. In the aftermath, he was dissatisfied with
the amount of plunder and felt that the town’s treasurer, Kinana, might be holding out on him. He had
the man brought to him: When he [Muhammad] asked him about the rest he refused to produce it, so
the apostle gave orders to al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam, “Torture him until you extract what he has.” So he
kindled a fire with flint and steel on his chest until he was nearly dead. Then the apostle delivered him to
Muhammad bin Maslama and he struck off his head.” (As a happy side note to the story – Kinana's
untimely death left a beautiful young widow named Saffiya, whom Muhammad was then able to
“marry”).

Al-Sirah Al-Nabawiyyah (Ibn Ishaq) 970: "The adulterer must be stoned." These words were a part of
Muhammad's farewell address to his people on the occasion of his final pilgrimage to Mecca.

Al-Sirah Al-Nabawiyyah (Ibn Ishaq/Ibn Hisham): Then the apostle sent Khalid bin Walid… to the Banu al-
Harith and ordered him to invite them to Islam three days before he attacked them. If they accepted
then he was to accept it from them, and if they declined he was to fight them. So Khalid set out and
came to them, and sent out riders in all directions inviting the people to Islam, saying, “If you accept
Islam you will be safe.” So the men accepted Islam as they were invited. The text goes on to say that
Khalid taught the al-Harith about Islam after their "conversion," proving that it was based on fear of
slaughter rather than a free and intelligent decision.

Umdat Al-Salik (Reliance of the Traveler) (Islamic Law) o8.1: "When a person who has reached puberty
and is sane voluntarily apostatizes from Islam, he deserves to be killed." (o8.4 affirms that there is no
penalty for killing an apostate).

Umdat Al-Salik (Reliance of the Traveler) (Islamic Law) o9.13: According to Sharia, when a child or
woman is taken captive by Muslims, they become slaves by the mere fact of their capture. A captured
woman's previous marriage is immediately annulled. This would not be necessary if she were widowed
by battle, which is an imaginary stipulation that modern apologists sometimes pose.

Umdat Al-Salik ( Reliance of the Traveller) (Islamic Law) p17.2: "May Allah curse him who does what Lot's
people did." This is also repeated in three other places.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Islamic Law: There is also a consensus by all four schools of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence (i.e., Maliki,
Hanbali, Hanafi, and Shafii), as well as classical Shiite jurists, that apostates from Islam must be put to
death. The process of declaring a person to be an apostate is known as takfir and the disbeliever is called
a murtad. Averroes (d. 1198), the renowned philosopher and scholar of the natural sciences, who was
also an important Maliki jurist, provided the typical Muslim legal opinion on the punishment for
apostasy: "An apostate...is to be executed by agreement in the case of a man, because of the words of
the Prophet, 'Slay those who change their din [religion]'...Asking the apostate to repent was stipulated as
a condition...prior to his execution." The contemporary (i.e., 1991) Al-Azhar (Cairo) Islamic Research
Academy endorsed manual of Islamic Law, Umdat al-Salik (pp. 595-96) states: "Leaving Islam is the
ugliest form of unbelief (kufr) and the worst.... When a person who has reached puberty and is sane
voluntarily apostasizes from Islam, he deserves to be killed. In such a case, it is obligatory...to ask him to
repent and return to Islam. If he does it is accepted from him, but if he refuses, he is immediately killed."
The OIC's Sharia-based Cairo Declaration is transparent in its rejection of freedom of conscience in
Article 10: "Islam is the religion of unspoiled nature. It is prohibited to exercise any form of compulsion
on man or to exploit his poverty or ignorance in order to convert him to another religion, or to atheism."
Ominously, articles 19 and 22 reiterate a principle stated elsewhere throughout the document, which
clearly applies to the "punishment" of so-called "apostates" from Islam: "[19d] There shall be no crime
or punishment except as provided for in the Sharia.; [22a] Everyone shall have the right to express his
opinion freely in such manner as would not be contrary to the principles of the Sharia.; [22b] Everyone
shall have the right to advocate what is right, and propagate what is good, and warn against what is
wrong and evil according to the norms of Islamic Sharia.; [22c] Information is a vital necessity to society.
It may not be exploited or misused in such a way as may violate sanctities and the dignity of Prophets,
undermine moral and ethical values or disintegrate, corrupt or harm society or weaken its faith." [From
Andrew Bostom's CAIR's Silence on Pastor's Apostasy Death Sentence is Deafening]. In 2012, the
website, Islam QA, offered a studied defense of killing apostates and "enemies of Islam" which was
captured by Jihad Watch: Apostates from Islam and Those Who Wage War Verbally on Islam Must be Put
to Death [https://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/11/islam-qa-apostates-from-islam-and-those-who-wage-
war-verbally-on-islam-must-be-put-to-death.html]. "The stone shall not be so big so as to kill the person
by one or two strikes, neither shall it be so small that it cannot be called a stone" The victim is intended
to suffer.

Ibn Kathir v.4 p.133: Then the apostle sent Khalid bin Walid… to the Banu al-Harith and ordered him to
invite them to Islam three days before he attacked them. If they accepted then he was to accept it from
them, and if they declined he was to fight them. So Khalid set out and came to them, and sent out riders
in all directions inviting the people to Islam, saying, “If you accept Islam you will be safe.” So the men
accepted Islam as they were invited. The text goes on to say that Khalid taught the al-Harith about Islam
after their "conversion," proving that it was based on fear of slaughter rather than a free and intelligent
decision.
Ibn Kathir (Commenting on Quran 2:256 in the unabridged version of his tafsir) - "Therefore all people of
the world should be called to Islam. If anyone of them refuses to do so, or refuses to pay the jizya, they
should be fought till they are killed."

The introduction to Chapter 88 of Sahih Al-Bukhari reads "Narrated Ibn Umar that the Prophet said, "My
livelihood is under the shade of my spear, and he who disobeys my orders will be humilated by paying
Jizya." This refutes the apologist effort to divorce jizya from humiliation and pose it as a simple tax.

Tariq Ramadan (A Leading European Islamic Theologian - and accused rapist): My brothers and sisters,
we must exploit the so-called democracy and freedom of speech here in the West to reach our goals.
Our prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him and the Koran teach us that we must use ever conceivable
means and opportunity to defeat the enemies of Allah. Tell the infidels in public; we respect your laws
and your constitutions, which we Muslims believe that these are as worthless as the paper they are
written on. The only law we must respect and apply is the Sharia. (Speaking at the Islamic Center in
Bielefeld, Germany on May 21, 2008)

There are several lesser hadith stating, "if a man comes upon a man, then they are both adulterers," "If
a woman comes upon a woman, they are both adulteresses," "When a man mounts another man, the
throne of God shakes," and "Kill the one that is doing it and also kill the one that it is being done to."
(Abu Dawud 4462 and al-Tirmidhi 1456)
