MEDICATION  Isoniazid;
adults – teenagers: 5 mg/kg daily P.O or IM, qd
 Rifampicin;
children – adult: 10mg/kg daily, IV, every 12 hours
 Ethambutol;
children – adult: 15-25 mg/kg, P.O, two times a week
 Pyrazinamide
15-30 mg/kg, P.O, qd
 Streptomycin
adult 15-20 mg/kg, IM, three times a week

TREATMENT Isoniazid - is used with other medications to treat active tuberculosis (TB) infections.
Isoniazid INH in combination with three other drugs:
Rifampin - is used in the treatment of all forms of tuberculosis.
Pyrazinamide - is most commonly used for treatment of active tuberculosis (TB) during the initial phase of
therapy (generally the first two months of treatment), in combination with other agents.
Ethambutol - is used for the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.

DIET Consume: protein-rich foods, high-calorie foods, micronutrients, micronutrients and high-energy foods.
Avoid: processed foods, high fat meats, fried foods, refined grains and sugary foods
