JOGGLING

RARE SPORTS ACTIVITIES

JOGGLING
SUMMARY
Joggling is a competitive sport that
combines juggling with jogging.

People who joggle are called jogglers.

The most common objects used in
joggling are juggling balls, or sometimes
juggling clubs, but any set of three or
more objects can be used.
The participants have to juggle the balls
throughout the race. The patterns should be
completed in an alternating manner such as
right-left-right-left. The participant cannot do a
left-left or right-right pattern. No multiplexing is

RULES allowed.

The players cannot drop the objects/props at

any time; they are not allowed to touch the
ground, or else they have to restart from that
point.
COMPETITION
The World Joggling Championships are held each
year as one of the events of the International
Jugglers' Association juggling festival, where results
are recorded and medals awarded.

The first championships were held in 1980 at the IJA

juggling festival in Fargo, North Dakota.

The world record for joggling a marathon (42.195

kilometers) is 2 hours, 50 minutes and 12 seconds,
achieved by Zach Warren in 2006.
Michel Lauziere who won the first one-
mile run was late to start his race, but
still, he managed to complete the race
barefoot.

In 1988, Owen Morse held the first-ever

FUN FACTS

where he juggled five balls in 13.8 seconds.
