Introduction to Esports: Task 1 – Team Research.

As an Esports student you will need to gain a wider understanding into the existing industry,
research skills are essential for this. Your first task is to complete this worksheet using your
investigative research skills to find the correct answer to each of the questions below.

FNATIC ESPORTS
When were the team founded? They were founded in 2004. Info from About -
Fnatic.

What games do the team play? They play games like League of Legends, Fifa,
Rainbow 6 Siege, CS:GO, Fortnite, Apex Legends
and Valorant.

Who are the key players in the team?
Try to include the games each player plays
and their positions.
For the team who play CS:GO, they have 2
members of staff who are Andreas Samuelsson;
the team director, and Jamie Hall who is the
Strategic Coach. The team players are Krimz
(Rifler) along with roeJ (Rifler/Entry Fragger).
The 2 IGL (In-game Leader) are dexter and
Mezii. Finally afro who is the AWPer (Sniper).

Another team which plays League of Legends

contain 2 members of staff; Dardo (Team
Director) and Gaax (Head Coach for the
Academy Team). Moving onto the players,
firstly we have Doxy who is the Top Laner.
Rabble with the role of Jungle. Nafkelah as the
Mid Laner. Kadir as Support and the 2
substitute players who are Valans and Viketox
(Mid Laner and Support).

List the team’s most notable achievements Team Fnatic earned the title of Valorant
LOCK//IN Champions on the 4th March 2023.
They later took home another major trophy in
 June 2023 from VCT Masters in Tokyo, back-to-

Another notable achievement they have earned

is being 6th in the most innovative gaming
companies of 2021.
