Foreword
Foreword
Congratulations on choosing an AutoShuttle. It is designed to make your work
more efficient, simple and safe. Before you start using the AutoShuttle, it is
very important that you learn how to handle it safely, by carefully reading and
understanding the contents of this manual. You must also meet the require‐
ments for training and local approval before you can operate the AutoShuttle.
This Operator Manual contains information about safety regulations, how to
use the AutoShuttle and how to keep the AutoShuttle in a safe condition by
following daily service routines. For periodic maintenance, our quality oriented
service organisation is at your disposal, in order to secure a high availability
for a long time to come.
To make the content available, the manual must always be kept with the Au‐
toShuttle. A copy of the manual can be ordered as a spare part.
We are constantly working to develop our products, and we therefore reserve
the right to make changes. Therefore, no claims can be made due to the con‐
tents of the Operator Manual. If anything is unclear or if you have any other
questions, you are always welcome to contact your local supplier.

About this operator manual 1
1.2 Concepts
Below are described some of the concepts found in the operator manual. We
would like to point out that there may be other meanings for these concepts in
other contexts, but they are defined as follows in this operator manual.
User
A user is the natural or legal person responsible for the AutoShuttle.
Users may be using the AutoShuttle themselves or may give somebody
else (e.g. driver/operator) the job of operating it. In certain cases, e.g.
rental, it is the user that is responsible for the AutoShuttle according to a
valid contract between the owner and the person operating the AutoSh‐
uttle.
Operator
The operator is the person that is physically operating, handling and per‐
forming the maintenance on the AutoShuttle.
7
1 About this operator manual
Service technician
A person that is trained to perform service and maintenance to the Au‐
toShuttle.
Home position
The level and end of the racking where the AutoShuttle is introduced,
and where a truck will unload pallets that are to be stored in the racking.
Driving is performed backward to the home position.
End position
The opposite end of the racking to the home position. The AutoShuttle
moves the goods to be stored to the end position (if the pallet slot is
available). Driving is performed forwards to the end position.
DANGER
Indicates a dangerous situation that – if not avoided – will cause death or
serious bodily injury.

If you do not get enough running time out of the battery, check:
• In case of imminent danger when charging, cut the mains power by pull‐
ing out the power plug from the wall socket.
• The battery charger may be permanently connected to the mains.
• Check the wiring and the plugs and sockets for any visible damage.
For further instructions, please see the instructions provided by the manufac‐
turer of the battery and the battery charger.
Each AutoShuttle is supplied with two battery cassettes with two batteries in
each cassette. Both battery cassettes must be used equally, and may not be
mixed with battery cassettes for other AutoShuttles.
47
8 Battery
The batteries are charged using an external charger. Only use a battery
charger recommended by the AutoShuttle manufacturer.
The battery will get its full capacity after three charging and discharging cy‐
cles.
The batteries are designed to be charged with a high voltage, so called
pause-charging. Therefore the batteries should be charged during any break
at work. In order for the battery to reach the maximum service life, it must be
charged as soon as the red lamp on the AutoShuttle is lit, otherwise the serv‐
ice life of the battery will be severely shortened.
If the battery is not trickle charged regularly, the service life will be shorter
than anticipated.
Note: Immediately charge the batteries if they become fully discharged.
Charging of batteries should be performed at an ambient temperature of 5°C
to 45°C.

• The AutoShuttle stops working or the functions are limited when an error
is detected.
• The alarm is triggered, and the yellow lamp at the front of the AutoShut‐
tle is lit.
• The AutoShuttle sends an error message to the remote control.
The error message will be shown on the display of the remote control.
Note: If an alarm is triggered, the operator must verify that the AutoShuttle is
fully functional before it is used again. Often it is possible to move to the
home position in the manual mode.
The list below has information about error messages and remedial action.

hamnar då i Viloläge.

Se Hämta skyttel i ställage, sidan 123.
