SITUATION: I am a member of my school’s consulting club.

TASK: Recently we took on a project to help a local company understand why their
advertising campaign did not produce intended results.

ACTION: First we conducted comprehensive research on the client’s business, targeted

customers, and the sales process. Then we independently gathered information on the
market (such as income, gender, age, etc) where the client conducted their campaign. After
visualizing our data in Excel, we found out that the client was targeting the wrong market
and customer groups!

RESULT: We presented our findings to the client and it was easy to convince the client with
the data visualization, and we were able to recommend a more suitable marketing campaign
strategy based on the data and our analysis.

I am currently a Junior majoring in Computer Science. I have some previous experience
working at Spotify as a developer intern. I used Java and Python to debug apps.

My short-term goal is to join Google Summer of Code and gain international development
experience under a mentor. Google Summer of Code will give me new exposure to
software development while giving me the opportunity to give back to the community.

My long-term goal is to secure a full-time position at Google as a full stack developer.

Google is the leading company when it comes to innovation in the technology sphere. I
want to be a part of this mission to help the company develop in a creative way. Not only
is Google the leader of technological change, it also guides social change and public
opinion among people too. I want to see the work I do create an impact on people’s daily
