How to make a smart dustbin using Arduino and sensor with additional features

 Step 1: Gather the components. You will need an Arduino Uno board, an ultrasonic
sensor, a servo motor, a dustbin with a lid, some jumper wires, and a breadboard. You
will also need a deodorizer, an ozone generator, a ventilation system, an LED light,
and an auto sealing device. You can buy these components online or from a local
electronics store. For example, you can find some of the components on [Shopee
Malaysia].
 Step 2: Connect the circuit. You will need to connect the ultrasonic sensor to the
Arduino using the jumper wires and the breadboard. The ultrasonic sensor has four
pins: VCC, GND, TRIG, and ECHO. You will need to connect the VCC pin to the 5V
pin on the Arduino, the GND pin to the GND pin on the Arduino, the TRIG pin to the
digital pin 10 on the Arduino, and the ECHO pin to the digital pin 9 on the Arduino.
You will also need to connect the servo motor to the Arduino using another jumper
wire. The servo motor has three wires: red, black, and yellow. You will need to
connect the red wire to the 5V pin on the Arduino, the black wire to the GND pin on
the Arduino, and the yellow wire to the digital pin 7 on the Arduino. You can refer to
this [circuit diagram] for more details.
 Step 3: Attach the servo motor to the lid of the dustbin. You will need to use some
glue or tape to fix the servo motor to the lid of the dustbin. Make sure that the servo
motor can rotate freely and open and close the lid of the dustbin. You can also use
some cardboard or plastic to make a hinge for the lid if needed.
 Step 4: Upload the code to the Arduino. You will need to write some code to program
the Arduino to control the servo motor and the ultrasonic sensor. The code will make
use of two libraries: Servo.h and NewPing.h. The Servo.h library is used to control
 Step 5: Place or install the smell removal device inside the dustbin. You can use a
deodorizer, an ozone generator, or a ventilation system to reduce the smell of the trash
inside the smart dustbin. You will need to connect these devices to a power source
and place them inside the dustbin. You can also use some sensors and controllers to
regulate the amount and timing of the deodorizer, ozone, or air flow. For example,
you can check out this [project] that shows how to make a smart dustbin with an
ozone generator and an MQ-135 gas sensor.
 Step 6: Connect the LED light to the Arduino using some jumper wires and a resistor.
You can use an LED strip or an LED module to provide an integrated LED light
inside the smart dustbin. You will need to connect the LED to the Arduino using some
jumper wires and a resistor. You can also use some code to control the brightness,
color, and mode of the LED light. For example, you can check out this [project] that
shows how to make a smart dustbin with an RGB LED strip and a potentiometer.
 Step 7: Place the auto sealing device on top of your existing dustbin and connect it to
a power adapter. You can use a device that can automatically seal fully filled trash
bags without requiring you to touch the bag. You will need to place the device on top
of your existing dustbin and connect it to a power adapter. You can also use some
buttons or sensors to activate the auto sealing mode. For example, you can check out
this [product] that shows how to use the Townew T1 / T1S Smart Trash Bin as an
auto sealing device for your smart dustbin.
