1. Arachnid: The body is divided into two parts, have 8
legs,no antennae and no wings.
Ex: spiders, scorpions, mites, and ticks etc.
2. Invertebrates: Animals that do not have a backbone
or the vertebral column, due to which they either
creep, crawl and wriggle.ex: insects and arachnids
3. Vertebrates: Animals having a backbone or a
vertebral column which gives them shape and a
proper structure.ex: fish, birds, reptiles, mammals,
amphibians
4. Creepy crawlies: These are creatures that creep
(walk slowly) or crawl (walk on four or more legs).
Some amazing facts you need to know about
creepy crawlies or invertebrates:

● They make upto 95% of all the animals on our

planet.

● Some are so small that you can only see them


with a microscope.
● Most invertebrates have a soft squishy body.

Remember:

They look creepy and scary but can be helpful in


pollination and also making the soil fertile and
porous.

The study of insects is called entomology.The


person who studies about insects is called an
entomologist.
