seeks to unite his agents in warring against the truth he will work to divide and scatter its advocates. 7t 182.2
Did you get the lesson brothers and sisters thought the world is filled with war and variance (think disagreeable)
positions) but under 1 head the papal power and those that worship the beast and his image will oppose God in
the person of his witnesses. That’s you and me. ARE WE READY
Lastly ponder the 2 quotes
We are approaching the end of this earth’s history, and Satan is working as never before. He is striving to act as
director of the Christian world. With an intensity that is marvelous he is working with his lying wonders. Satan
is represented as walking about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. He desires to embrace the
whole world in his confederacy. Hiding his deformity under the garb of Christianity, he assumes the attributes
of a Christian, and claims to be Christ Himself. {8MR 346}
The Word of God declares that when it suits the enemy’s purpose, he will through his agencies manifest so great
a power under a pretense of Christianity that “if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” [Matthew
24:24.] The enemy is revealed in persons to whom he has given power to work miracles. He creates sorrow and
suffering and disease. Seeming to change his attributes, apparently he heals those whom he himself has tortured.

Brothers and sisters keep this thing in your hearts whether we mourn, cry, weep or go through trials remember this
“We must keep working” for time is short and we must be ready.

The sudden and unexpected passing of my father truly caught the family
and I off guard and unprepared. It’s like an alarm clock went off to
wake me up from a state of being where I thought I was already
awake, you’re a little foggy and unsure of what is happening and
suddenly you realize you’ve just woken up and are behind the wheel
of a fast moving car.
As I contemplate the events that transpired from the initial call from
mom about what was happening and listening and trying to filter in
my mind what I was hearing, I remember springing into action gath-
ering the family quickly to get in the car to make the immediate trip to Pulaski, Tn. As we travelled I remember the car
being silent though with shock internally I am praying and pleading with God to save my father and to strengthen my
mom. I remember Barbara my wife making call after call to different people who lived close to get to the house right
away (Bros. Ricardo Parks, Elvin Bridges, Anthony Chornes).
Getting to Pulaski seemed like it took forever. We got to the regional medical center and was greeted by other brothers
and sisters in Christ. Everyone was talking and praying and making more phone calls. Since I’m the only child they let
me back to see him. I’m nervous in shock but praying as they prepared him for the flight to Saint Thomas West Hospi-
tal in Nashville, Tn. The family and I are back in the car including mom and we are heading to Nashville as fast as we
can hoping to hear good news from the surgeon.
News from the surgeon was positive so we remained hopeful and prayerful and settled into the waiting room for the
forseeable stay at the hospital. Seeing dad in his ICU room alive but unconscious we began to pray over him and talk to
him as we waited to see what would happen. As the hours drew on many brothers and sisters in Christ showed up and
many others called to say they were praying and seeking to strengthen us during this time. We were also visited by
NAPS (National Association For The Prevention Of Starvation) who sang and read scriptures to us all for comfort and
strength.
As the news began to come in from the doctors that things were not looking good we began to fervently pray for a mira-
cle believing that at any moment God would raise him up. As Gods providence in this matter began to be clear, I began
to reflect on what God had spoken to me earlier that dad’s legacy has been set and the road map is in front of you all
you have to do is follow the map. As we stood around his bed and the final word from the nurses and doctors that dad
was gone it was hard to fathom and understand how we were standing here and hearing these words but here we were
standing around his bed the room silent as we all just contemplated that God had officially laid his servant / general to
rest.
At times it is in situations like this where you can feel listless and numb. As we traveled home from the hospital talking
and thinking I began to contemplate the journey ahead and what it means.
We were all now on this new journey now using the same road map and having the same goal/ vision/ mission as was
given to dad but with some added responsibilities . I am reminded of the poem footprints in the sand where it says that
when there was only one set of footprints in the sand that was when God was carrying you. That has been the experi-
ence on this new journey thus far. It is when you stop turn around and look behind you that you see God’s strength has
been on complete display. As I think back over the many conversations dad and I had I am reminded of the many
things God had put in dads mind and gave the burden to accomplish. He had a tremendous love and deep interest in
prophecy which he preached continuously with fervor, he wanted to see Gods people prepared “To stand true to God
when the investigative judgement passes from the dead to the living.” He also had tremendous desire to see others
not affliated with the message brought into the light of heavenly truth. He would always say to those who joined the
church at this time hearing the truth from heaven that God didn’t bring you in at this time to relax there is work to be
done you are an “11th hour worker.”
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the
Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9
A New Year
2018 has arrived and the steady tread of events has not slowed down, but has picked up even more steam.
Those who place themselves under God’s control, to be led and guided by Him, will catch the steady tread of the
events ordained by Him to take place. Inspired with the Spirit of Him who gave His life for the life of the world,
they will no longer stand still in impotency, pointing to what they cannot do. Putting on the armor of heaven,
they will go forth to the warfare, willing to do and dare for God, knowing that His omnipotence will supply their
need. {7T 14.2}
2017 opened, trended and ended with so many events and signs of a serious prophetic nature that we should honestly
look for 2018 to unfurl and unfold before us with unequivocal certainty that the FINAL stage setting is currently taking
place for the marvelous working of satan and the final test for Gods people.
Brothers and sisters we must not get comfortable or weary for we are told in Great Controversy these words:
The season of distress and anguish before us will require a faith that can endure weariness, delay, and hunger—
a faith that will not faint though severely tried. The period of probation is granted to all to prepare for that time.
Jacob prevailed because he was persevering and determined. His victory is an evidence of the power of importu-
nate prayer. All who will lay hold of God’s promises, as he did, and be as earnest and persevering as he was, will
succeed as he succeeded. GC 621.2
We must arm ourselves with the only weapon that will see us through. The test and trials that come our way daily and
are coming in hear future will take a faith a relationship that can and will endure until the end. Satan seeks everyday for
souls whom he can devour at a moments notice through whatever open door he can find. Be sober, be vigilant; because
your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour...1 Peter 5:8 The bible goes on
to tell us that “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. “ Heb 11:1 We know
that faith without works is dead. James 2:17-23 makes clear that if our works do correspond with our faith if we follow
Christ withsoever he goeth, if we by the indwelling power of Christ are obedient we will be imputed Christ righteous-
ness.
Gods People Under Fire
Gods professed people are soon to be under fire and some are already experiencing specific challenges. Soon satan will
seek skin for skin in this great controversy between him and God. Read the quote below:
When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall
reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our
country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall
make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come
for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
Brother and sisters we are milliseconds prophetically speaking from a complete fulfillment. It is clear to see that a full
repudiation of our constitution is well under way. Saints are we preparing for what God has told us was coming, are we
spending the time necessary in prayer and in the searching of the scriptures to have the character of Christ.
The protestant / evangelical world has been seeking a closer union with Rome and Satan has been leading this journey
through their desire for power and recognition in the government, till now they have clasped hands around points of
faith they have in common and soon very soon they have the government doing their bidding:
When the churches of our land, uniting upon such points of faith as are held by them in common, shall influence
the State to enforce their decrees and sustain their institutions, then will Protestant America have formed an im-
age of the Roman hierarchy. Then the true church will be assailed by persecution, as were God’s ancient people.
