Iphone

Apple Inc. created and sells the iPhone line of smartphones. Apple's iOS mobile
operating system is used by these gadgets. On January 9, 2007, the first-generation
iPhone was unveiled by Steve Jobs, who was then the CEO of Apple. Since then, Apple
has released yearly updates to iOS and new iPhone models. More than 2.2 billion
iPhones had been sold as of November 1st, 2018. The iPhone will hold 15.6% of the
global smartphone market in 2022.

The iPhone introduced multi-touch technology to mobile devices for the first time.
[4] Since the iPhone's release, it has gotten bigger screens, video recording,
waterproofing, and many accessibility features. iPhones had a single button on the
front panel with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor up until the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
Since the release of the iPhone X, all subsequent iPhone models have a nearly
bezel-less front screen with Face ID facial recognition and gesture-activated app
switching. For the less expensive iPhone SE series, Touch ID is still in use.

Along with Android, the iPhone is one of the two most popular smartphone platforms
in the world and dominates the luxury sector. Apple is now one of the most valuable
publicly traded companies in the world thanks to the iPhone's significant financial
success. Following models of the iPhone have also received praise. [5] The iPhone
is credited with popularizing the smartphone and slate form factors as well as with
establishing a sizable market for smartphone apps, or the "app economy." The first-
generation iPhone was hailed as a "revolution" for the mobile phone industry. More
than 2.2 million iPhone apps were available in the Apple App Store as of January
2017.
