1. What is a Computer?
A computer is an electronic device that can process data and carry out various
tasks or operations, including storing and retrieving data, running programs, and
interacting with other devices.
Studying the history of computers allows us to look back on the progress and
development of these devices over the years, and see how it shaped society from
these bulky pieces of technology kept in specialized rooms into flat planes we can
carry around in our bags that can perform numerous sophisticated tasks. You
can’t know where you are going until you know where you have been; learning
about the past also lets us know how much is left to improve and study about
them. It may also be a fuel of inspiration for future versions of this powerful
gadget.
Computer limitations primarily define some tasks that computers can not
perform or in which humans perform better than computers. A computer refers to
an advanced electronic device that accepts raw data from users and performs
arithmetic and logical operations/codes that give a desirable result to the user.
Due to that computers lack common sense, cannot express ideas, no decision
making ability, and are user dependent. A computer just gives to the user a lot of
data that it does not know if it’s reliable or not that connects to the user input.
5. There are 5 generations of computers. Identify what sets them apart in terms
of: a) Size b) Users.
