“PNEUMATOLOGY”
The word Pneumatology comes from two Greek word “Pnuema” means “breath” or “spirit” and
“words” – combining to mean “the study of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit produces behavior traits that are representatives of Jesus Christ, as much as the
Father and Son are persons, and therefore experiences all the sinless elements involved within a
divine personality. He has a mind, (Romans 8:27). He has will, this is the various spiritual gift
which thou Holy Spirit imparts to believers as he determines (1 Corinthians 12:11). He speaks to
whom He speaks, He loves. So the Holy Spirit have wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude,
knowledge, piety, and fear of the world.
The Holy Spirit is God Almighty, equal to the Father and the Son in every respect. Scripture
speaks repeatedly of the Holy Spirit, known also as the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Jesus
Christ.
a. He is omnipresent – it was impossible for him to escape God’s spirit, even if the
ascended to the heights, descended into the depths, travelled across the sea, or surrounded
himself with darkness.
b. He is omniscient – (1 Corinthians 2:10-11)
c. He is omnipotent – (Genesis 1:2)
d. He is eternal – (Hebrew 9:14)
e. He is called God – (Acts 5: 3-4)
The Holy Spirit does indeed occupy a place of submission in the life of Trinity, he is
nevertheless not one whit behind the Father or Son in all their divine attributes.
The Holy Spirit is a living spirit being, one of the three members of the Godhead. The indwelling
of the Holy Spirit is one of the most blessed salvations promises God has bestowed. And is
bestowing on believers in this New Covenant Age (Acts 2:28-29). All who are baptized-
immersed with Christ for the forgiveness of sins received this gift. It is the action by which God
takes up permanent residence in the a believer in Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament, its spiritual
would come and go from the Saints empowering them to service but not necessarily remaining
with the, (Judges 15:14 / 1 Corinthians 12:18 / Psalm 51:4 / Ezekiel 11:5). Jesus revealed to his
disciplines the new role the spirit of truth would play in their lives (John 14:17) And Apostle
Paul wrote in (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
As the Holy Spirit lives in the believers, As brings about some life changing results:
a. It comes to a soul dead in sin and creates new life (Titus 3:5). This is the new birth Jesus
spoke in John 3: 1-8.
b. Install the new believes as a member of Christ universal church. This is the baptism of
the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13).
c. The indwelling spirit is grieved when the believer sins (Ephesians 4:30) and He convicts
the believer to confess his sin tot the Lord so that fellowship is restored (1 John 1:9).
When you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior (Romans 10: 9-13). The Holy Spirit takes up
residence in good heart, bringing with Him an entirely new life of love, relationship, and service
to the Lord.
