Description
Audience All
This clinical, usable information-packed presentation will describe and identify 10
essential “keys” for performing immediate single tooth replacement of hopeless AGD Code 690
maxillary central incisor teeth. This treatment is considered a Complex SAC
procedure and a team approach is suggested as the maxillary central incisor is Type Lecture
clinically seen as having the most long-term esthetic failures resulting in unhappy
patients. Once this occurs, restoring the lost hard and soft tissues to their original SAC Straightforward
pre-surgical levels is nearly impossible. The “Updated 10 Keys checklist” published
CE Credit 2.0 Hours
in the Academy of Osseointegration News (2022), if sequentially followed, will
provide high predictability in preventing esthetic complications and offers RSVP Please RSVP by 05/23/23 to
guidelines to ensure high success based on published studies by Dr. Levine and his melody_jones@urmc.rochester.edu
clinical research group which confirm the use of the 10 Keys protocol (2 diagnostic,
5 surgical and 3 prosthetic keys). The development of the 10 Keys checklist was
based on CBCT and clinical documentation of completed cases of Dr. Levine
starting with Regular Neck (RN) Tissue Level (TL) maxillary central incisor implants
placed over 20 years ago to Bone Level Tapered (BLT) implants and analyzed at the
University of Maringa, Brazil under Dr. Mauricio Araujo resulting in 4 important
publications and guidelines. Patient--reported outcome measures (PROMS) and
practice “pearls” will be shared to make this complex treatment a seamless
experience for the whole team.
